I have never installed a floor before although I have observed others installing laminate products so I wasn't sure I could do this. It took a few rows to get the procedure of clipping the end pieces together and then rotating the plank to get the length in place but once I overcame the learning curve it was simple. I broke my hand last year and don't have much strength in it but I was easily able to score and cut planks when necessary with a utility knife and a metal straight-edge. I just ordered more of this flooring in grey for another project! Everyone that has seen the floor agrees that it is just beautiful!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Recker OMG this stuff is amazing.
I have to tell you from the get go that I foster young puppies. I also have a paralyzed dog who is in a set of wheels. This flooring is amazing, I've had the laminated wood flooring with a "fake bevel" that water got trapped in.....when I mopped I would have to crawl and wipe up with a towel. Eventually the planks "swelled up" in the bevel. But this flooring....it's a flush fit no gaps. And I am in LOVE! Plan on doing my kitchen and bath in the same product only in tile or stone finish.

Cleanliness is the key to installing this flooring. . . sweep, vacuum, sweep, vacuum & repeat daily if it takes longer to complete installation. From start to finish including removing all furniture, carpet, pad, tack strips, & staples; preparing floor surface which included the use of a belt sander to make sure it was flat so I could start out with a good substrate and completing installation took four days for a 14x17 bedroom. This stuff looks amazing & looks really good with our antique oak bedroom set. Aside from the color, the texture reminds me of the old punkin board floors in Maine. Before I moved furniture back into the room I went over the floor with a mop & shine product to protect the floor from scuffs while moving heavy furniture.

I am a 50 year old woman, who installed this flooring in my Kitchen 10 months ago. I had my doubts after reading the reviews but I was impressed with the concept of interlocking flooring, since my adhesive plank flooring had failed me. I applied this flooring to my wood sub-floor, using the miter saw and utility knife. The flooring cuts easily. The traffic daily is heavy, with three adults and two Shih Tzu's. I applied the flooring as directed, it has stayed securely in place. I am very happy with this flooring and will be installing this color in my upstairs bathroom.

I've laid 1000 sq ft of Allure Grip Strip this year, but the interlock is a joke. JMHO The interlock breaks easily and is terrible hard to fit together. I'm going back to the Grip Strip as it is much more forgiving.

I installed this product in a rental of mine after leaving it in there for 48 hrs to reach the same temperature. During the install the friction hold product held great however, as the weather has gotten colder some spots have broken and warped and show just enough to see that it's not leave. If you live in a cold state I would suggest using something different or not installing it over a sub floor

They are a nice vinyl planking. The installation was easy once you get the knack of it. I wanted a vinyl rather than a laminate since it's a high traffic hallway. Just installed, so I can't attest to the durability yet. Looks beautiful though.
It goes well with my laminate stairs too.
