Answer:
You could definitely use this on a fairly level concrete floor. Since it's a basement, personally I would suggest using some type of underlayment to help control the coolness. Or use area rugs on top like I did.

Answer:
My dad put this over a cement floor in his basement, it works fine. You don't need an underlayment. The only thing is that it would be cold and hard (this stuff doesn't provide much insulation), but it'll go in and look fine over flat concrete.

Answer:
I think this would be difficult to use on stairs, unless you put an edge cap on each riser; there's nothing to wrap around the front of the stairs.

Hello maggie and thank you for your question.
The manufacturer does not recommend using vinyl plank flooring on stairs. You should consider using Cap-A-Tread treads and risers that will match your TrafficMASTER Allure Mellow Wood Vinyl Plank Flooring: http://www.homedepot.com/s/Mellow%2520Wood%2520cap%2520a%2520tread?NCNI-5.
Best wishes on your project.

Do you sell a trim or molding for the mellow wood color?

Are you suppose to put a trim around the edges when you put down the vinyl planks? If so, do they come in all colors? I couldn't find one for mellow wood.

Answer:
It would be good to have a trim around the edge, to cover up where the vinyl meets the wall (I think most real wood installations have this as well). I don't think they make a vinyl product for this, you'll want to look for wood baseboards that can be stained or painted to match your room.

I think you could probably lay it over ceramic tile. I put it over an old wood floor, and there were some rather wide gaps in the floor, but once the vinyl is down you can't tell. Get a sheet of it and lay it down to test, but I think the planking is probably thick enough to cover up the gap. My only worry might be that over time the underlying grid pattern might start to show through, I don't think that Read More

Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 43 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Amazing product! The product was easy to install, appears to be durable and easy to maintain. The users are pleased with the comfort of standing on this flooring for long hours. Chances are they will install in more rooms in their office. May 3, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by SO EASY! What an absolutely fantastic product! If you are a home improvement type person, you will find this to be a wonderful and easy product to use. Working with old laminate, crooked walls and an uneven floor (due to an old unused vent in the hallway and old electric boxed in the dining room floor ), this product cured all the stumbling blocks in our hallway and dining room. It was easy to cut with a regular sharp cutting blade and straight edge. It easily went over the vent and electric box covers. It looks and feels like real wood flooring and has added such a warm feeling to our home. If you are not a handy person and have never worked with flooring before you could easily master this item with some practice if you have basic common sense and patience. Highly recommended. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Great purchase! Easy to lay it down and very easy to clean, don't do it on humid days and be sure to do it right the first time or it will be hard to detach. June 24, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A really great option for the price! We've now installed our allure flooring and are really pleased with the results. The color/grain matches perfectly the (real) wood trim around our windows and doors as well as the wood flooring in other parts of our house. It was *relatively* easy to install. The only thing worth nothing is that it's thin so you can feel any bumps or irregularities in the floor below it (even if they are very small). Also, it's not as scratch resistant as we expected. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great flooring! Looks modern and clean My husband installed this flooring in our dining room, kitchen, and 2 bathrooms. He's not a contractor or anything like that, but he's good with calculations, thinking ahead, and plain know-how. This flooring looks flawless. It doesn't come up, it's smooth through out the whole room. We've had it for about 6 months. You will see scuffs and scratches, (from dogs and boots), HOWEVER, when they first appear, it was a bummer. The more time goes by and the more scuffs/scratches that appear, the flooring looks really good, in our opinion. We also have 4 kids who go all over it, and the flooring holds up well. It wasn't a total easy task to put in the flooring, but it definitely was doable. It wasn't difficult either, by any means, just takes a little time and patience. For our dining-kitchen area, it's roughly about 700 sq. ft, he completed it in a day. I like how I can easily sweep the floor because it's so smooth, (we use a cotton oval push thing). HIghly recommend this product. It will not lift up or un-stick if installed correctly. If we do more flooring, we would definitely get this again. December 30, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love this flooring! I have had this flooring down for about 5 years now. Kids, dogs, family parties, rain, snow...it has withstood it all. Easy to install, have had no problems with any of it coming up, getting scratched or dented. Still looks as good as it did the day we put it down! Cleans up great, even black shoe marks come off well. Doing the rest of my house with it now! Extremely pleased with the durability and it looks great as well! November 4, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Thin at seems, cracks, forget warranty Did five rooms, main walkways cracked do to thin connections. Customer service did nothing, would not recommend to anybody November 12, 2015
