Answer:
I wouldn't, but hey.. Why not. I would do the flooring on a thin plywood first then install. This flooring is a floating floor and doesn't stick to the floor (just the other panels). In this case, you would be putting adhesive to the panels the using finishing nails in various places.

I can't imagine how you would attach it to a ceiling since it is by definition "floating" - not secured anywhere but to itself.

No. This is a floating floor that sticks to itself. The solid floor needs gravity to keep it in place. Besides, this stuff isn't made for outdoor use....so, not a good idea.

I would think so, since it can handle water, but it's such a cleanable surface that a steam cleaner seems unnecessary. A damp mop and floor cleaning solution should be all you'd need.

I have not attempted to clean my vinyl floors with a steam mop. You might can, however, they are so easy to clean with just a slightly wet flat type floor padded mop that you can either buy at the dollar general or at wal-mart. You really want need the steam mop.

I'd be afraid that the combination of steam and high suction a steam cleaner provides might loosen the adhesive strips at the joints, but that's just my opinion. I might suggest that you contact Allure for the cleaning product they recommend.

not sure how long per sq ft but it installs quickly once you get the hang of it. you just line it up and lay it down. I have never laid flooring before and did my laundry room, kitchen, and back room. I am planning on doing my hallway next. All you need it a box cutter, and ruler, and a marker. REALLY EASY

yes, a beginner DIY can absolutely install Allure Grip Strip. It is hard for me to judge how long it will take as it depends on the amount of cuts you would need to make. In a standard 10x10 room it should not take longer than 4 hours.

I did not install it myself. My contractor friend did and he covered 330 feet in less than one day with his son helping him. Sorry I cannot answer the exact time it takes to cover one sq ft. I am advised that a beginner can install it after reading the instructions carefully. It should cover any floor without too much prep work. My floor was concrete and there was no problem,

I installed this in a laundry room with a washer, dryer and refrigerator over 4 years ago. There has been no color change or noticeable degradation from moisture (even after the utility tub overflowed). This product is rated for all moisture environments. It's the sun you would need to be concerned about, as their are no UV inhibitors indicated in the product specs.

So far, despite dropping a plate on the floor (it did NOT break), spilling various liquids, scooting our metal dining room chairs around and frequent traffic from cats with claws, we haven't noticed any scratches or discoloration. The flooring around our electric stove & refrigerator both look as good as the day we installed it. In addition, one of our cats tends to eat too fast and sometimes yacks it up. He has done this on both the kitchen & living room floors. Each time we wiped up the partially-digested cat food easily, and it did not stain the flooring. Read Less

Answer:
heat from a refrigerator should be fine. Direct sunlight over long periods of time could cause a problem but as long as the temperature is not over 85 degrees it should not be a problem. I do recommend no installing Allure under the entire refrigerator and just laying it a few inches under. The weight of the fridge could cause the product to lift later on.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great product - Easy Installation I bought this product as a "quick fix" after buying a fixer upper. I installed it in one of the bathrooms as a test to see how durable and how realistic it looks. It's definitely durable, waterproof (I spilled a ton of water RIGHT after installing it while trying to install the toilet lol), and looks amazing. I changed the whole look of a bathroom in a matter of hours. Can't wait to try this flooring in the rest of my house. June 28, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by still a match We laid this flooring in all but one bedroom, due to busted waterline that ruined carpet in rest of house. That was 2011. We decided to enclosed garage, , 2016, expand master bedroom and add full bath. Enclosure added 260 sqft. Was scared that we would not be able to match the old with new, but this product, style, color, all match, after 5 years. Not that I want to spend the additional money, and the fact that we are to move in 3 months, we have decided to go ahead and lay the last bedroom with this flooring, just because this is such a quick and easy product to work with. June 3, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by I like the flooring, but I believe you purchased seconds. I had several pieces in the box that were not cut evenly. As I said before I believe that you purchased seconds from the vinyl dealer. The width of the planks were not even and some of the planks had too much glue while others had little. September 6, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by GREAT VINYL FLOORING!! I LOVE THIS FLOORING SO MUCH THAT I JUST WENT BACK AND BOUGHT ENOUGH FOR MY HALLWAY. I HAD PREVIOUSLY BOUGHT FOR 2 ROOMS. LOOKS GREAT FOR VINYL!! August 22, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great product This is the best flooring we have ever had we have it in three rooms and so easy to install September 13, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by perfect We installed this in 2015. 1/7/16 our basement had a "flood" of two inches of water. This product stayed put, did not buckle and cleaned up beautifully. It had dryers and dehumidifiers on it for 8 days. Highly recommend for bathroom and bedroom. February 8, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Tells you what you need to know I had someone else install the product, but he thought it was very easy to install. All boxes where checked that they came with the same run number, but not all planks looked the same. Some where bright & vibrant & others where very dull and looked a bit worn. It's adequate for the small home office we have, but very disappointing. July 21, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love the look! We have this flooring downstairs and have had it for 4 years now and it is super durable and easy to clean! It looks great and stays cool in the summer. It's pretty difficult to lay down if you don't have the right tools and for your walls have the floor boards. It's easy to replace If any damage occurs. July 26, 2016
