Answer:
Thanks to Tangelo for the prior answer. But it wasn't the weight I was concerned about. It's the complexity of the installation and having to watch out for other seams popping open when installing new tiles. One or two users mentioned this is a two-person job because of that, plus the difficulty of inserting a new tile, or something like that.

I am installing this in my kitchen. I read that it should not be installed under the cabinets, but rather butted up to their toe kick... but how about under the oven, fridge, and dishwasher??

Answer:
Maybe you could place a thin sheet of plywood under the fridge or oven to even out the weight a little (so feet don't dig in). Also, you'd want to avoid moving the appliances back & forth over the flooring without a wheeled dolly. Maybe the OEM could comment on this possibility?

Answer:
You can but It leaves you with a rough cut. If you are putting the cut edge under a base board or quarter round you will be ok. Also cutting with a jig saw leaves behind a lot of black dust that can get on the adhesive strip that can cause it to loose its adhesiveness. Best advice is to cover the adhesive with the protective paper provided in the box while making the cut.

Answer:
using a jigsaw would be overkill for cutting this vinyl flooring plank.
Simply use a sharp utility knife and a straight edge, and you can get the specific hole cut out that you need.

Allure 12 in. x 24 in. Ivory Travertine Vinyl Tile Flooring (24 sq. ft. / case) is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 68.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from flooring this flooring is a little painful to put down. they are a few tricks to remember like do not lay it on anything except something very clean. i used a big piece of cardboard because everything will stick to the strips. you can cut it with a razor knife but i changed blades after every piece. you are going to have some small cracks also there is no way around it. but my wife is happy with the results so that is what matters i guess.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful flooring! My husband and I installed this flooring over an existing linoleum floor that was almost 20 years old! Our kitchen is approximately 12 x 12 and we used a little over 4 boxes of tile, taking into consideration some mistakes and tile for cut out places. For the price and ease of installation, this flooring is just fantastic. The finished result is simply gorgeous! (sorry I don't have the pictures I took on the computer at this time.) It looks like a professional installation, and I'm not saying that to inflate our egos...it just went down easily and fairly quickly and is of high quality. We took our time, did a lot of measuring and thought the process out carefully. It is definitely a great product that we highly recommend. And it is guaranteed for 25 years! What a deal! One complaint is that some glue adhesive seems to be popping up along some of the seams, but that may be due to the fact that we installed it in 100 degree heat, although in an air conditioned house, and we did have the boxes of tile in the house for over a week so I don't think this really should have happened. I've been using my fingernails to lightly scrape the stickiness off, and it is coming off easily. It's simply an inconvenience and does not take away from my love of this flooring. It looks so beautiful and feels wonderful under our feet! I cannot say enough about this lovely flooring!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from What a nightmare!!!!!!, I've used stick vinyl several times before. I thought it would be sort of the same. We bought enough for the kitchen, laundry room and 1/2 bath. There is a bathroom on the box. First of all, this tile sticks to the next piece. If you have to trim, like around the toilet, that part doesn't stick to the floor. There is a stiff piece that is glued to the vinyl that makes it very difficult to trim with a utility blade. If you don't have a perfectly straight wall, the pieces aren't in a perfect line. If you try removing it to fix it...the glue strip tears. That leaves a gap you have to fix. Needless to say, my daughter is returning 8 of the boxes. The floor looks "not pretty". I would like to say 0 stars but there was no place. Terrible stuff !!!!!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Ivory Travertine Tile Very nice looking product at a great price. I used about 12 boxes to do my kitchen, hall, bathroom and 1st floor laundry room. The planks are very easy to install but hard to cut. I went through several razor blades and a pair of industrial sheers before I was done. Best advice I could give would be to make sure all your tiles are square when you lay them or you will end up with gaps at the joints. Also if you can remove quarter round (like I did) or base boards you will not need to worry about perfect edge cuts, just cover it with the quarter round or base boards when you finish. Very happy with the look and feel of this product.

We put this down in the kitchen 3 months ago and it looked absolutely beautiful but 3 months later the flooring is separating. I wish i had someone under the comments that rated this product months later. The vinyl was not simple to put down and we were glad to be done with it but now it looks as if we wasted a lot of money :(

I was pleased with the product, but could not complete the job because when I went back to purchase more tiles the store had discontinued this product. If I could find more tiles I would buy them. Home Depot seems to lack product loyalty, and this kind of issue happens often with your store.
