Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not so easy, easy tile Installation was not as easy as implied on the product box. Took many of us to figure out where to start, which way it was best to lay. The floating floor idea was a good idea until we discovered that this meant it would float while you tried to lay it. One day just to figure it out, one day to lay it, one day to finish it. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by After 15 months... Still Wonderful Hello, If you are considering this purchase, DO IT! I loved it after installation and love it as much today, 15 months later. No Scratches or Stains or Scuffs. Just a physically softer and warmer floor than REAL MARBLE. Oh... and much easier on the pocketbook. VERY easy to install but READ and pay attention to the instructions. The adhesive flaps can be a bit tricky because the adhesive is Black. Have to really snug them up before pressing them down. If some adhesive oozes up, don't worry. a dry cloth and a tad of elbow grease and it will rub away like andy other sticky stuff... Think Duct Tape. Impatient with the goo? I used Goo Gone (r) to no ill effects. Yup Love this stuff. In my kichen and bathroom. It will soon be going into my laundry room now that I know how tough it is. August 19, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Laying Difficulties I feel I am a pretty handy lady so when I started to install this product myself I felt fairly confident...however...the first two pieces I ruined trying to pull them up and realign as the sticky part broke the tab off the other piece. Then I just about broke my fingers trying to cut this product with a brand new fat max knife. It is so thick and hard to cut. Resorted to jigsaw which worked well I might add. Also found that because there isn't any covering to pull off the sticky part, it ends up getting covered with dust and other items while trying to lay it. It took longer than normal to align, stick and cut. I am happy with the results of the look so we will have to see how it lasts. October 17, 2010
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Nice but never again I bought this product for my parent's floor as their old flooring was curling and decrepid. The tile was chosen because it captured the colour of the yellow tiles on the wall. However, after setting up it became painfully obvious very, very soon that the 36" tiles would be a burden to lay in an offset room. Sure enough trying to get a good cut was difficult as the surface of these tiles is quite hard. BE SO CAREFUL WITH A KNIFE!!! I actually found a knife could easily catch the grain and wander off. So I switched to HEAVY scissors and that helped. But because of the specific design to attach a tile to the next one on the glue tabs, it really can be overly wasteful. It is recommended to buy an extra 10%, but I had to buy another full box and was left with only one tile. In conclusion, the job turned out quite nice looking, it simulated marble very well. But I would not recommend these tiles unless you are retiling a square room. August 26, 2011
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by allure livorno onyx i was going to install these myself but knee problem..had a installer do the job for me, in the kitchen & front hall, all one area...this is not as easy as they say, for sure...having corners, 4 door ways, made this a long & expensive floor to lay.... if you have places where molding does not go, you can not cut this product to fit nicely, caulking is necessary in all these areas & you can not match this colour, white is the closest you can get.... floor has scuff marks from moving the frig back into place, not all the seams end up being perfect...foot prints, if damp will show easily... the end look is great if you don't look close at it, but would i use it again, absolutely not.... had i not bought them & gotten them at a sale price, i would be very, very upset, as it is i am not a happy camper about the floor... maybe for a cottage, where you do not care about the end result, or a small square room, but not in a larger area for sure... i am very disappointed as this ended up costing a $1000.00, however i will not be here to see if they stand up for the 25 years, am doubtful about marks & moving even the kitchen table... be aware, everything is not as they say....even when you research the product.... sad, indeed... Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Installation I bought 2 razor knives when I bought the product but neither worked, it's very thick. We had to make the cuts with a jig saw. Hard to go around things. It would be good for a straight room, we did the bathroom, always a lot of cuts. Looks great when laid. August 4, 2010
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Consider the size of your space We purchased this vinyl tile flooring for two bathrooms in our home. We installed it ourselves and it looks well, however, it was difficult because (1) the space was small and (2) there were lots of "adjustment cuts" that had to be made, e.g., corners, hole for toilet, and strips that needed to be less that 3 feet. This tile is very hard and cutting it is extremely difficult. The glue they use is excellent in that it is attracted to itself so when two pieces w/glue come in contact withe each other they start the bonding process right away. All that combined to make this extremely tedious and difficult WITH ADJUSTMENTS. If the room is large and your adjustments are few, it would be wonderful. It looks super when you install it, but after the tuff time we had putting it down in tight spaces, we're too tired to consider doing any other floors in this tile. I hope the photo lets you know that it can look very nice once it's down. September 15, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by No lie, if i can put this down you can too. I bought a power multi tool for 19 bucks to cut with. Easy and wife approved. This floor was very simple to put down, and the power tool made it much easier to cut. I bought the white marble floor and after i put it down my wife screamed at me because it had a line in it. When she went to bed i put some white chauk in the cracks and told her i was up all night fixing it. She loves it. lol Tip: Think before you just throw it down, you can save some cash by thinking it out and starting in the right place. March 27, 2012
