For instance, would I cut 8" off the 2nd, 4th, etc tiles so that they appeared staggered. I've laid planks before and I know that all the seems shouldn't be next to each other.

It is highly recommended you match a thin grout line to a thicker grout line. It helps in maintaining the grout line to grout line look. It takes more time to install the tiles this way and will require installing from several different cartons at one time.
The alternative method to installing the tiles is in the brick pattern. This is faster and easier to install this way and also gives a beautiful design to the floor. Read Less

Answer:
Thank you for your question,,, you have two 16x 16 tiles so you would have split them in half .. all the seams will be 16" apart. The product would be layed left to right ... divide the room and divide by 32" which will tell you how many planks you will need. I hope that helps.

Customer Reviews

Allure 16 in. x 32 in. Ceramique Dusk Luxury Vinyl Tile Flooring (21.3 sq. ft. / Case) is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 20.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice Option to Ceramic Tile Final product looks great and we are really pleased with our choice of flooring. That said - if you are installing in a square room with few obstacles / cuts, it is a quick and straightforward installation. I installed in a kitchen with staggered walls, a center isle, a pantry, a closet and 3 entry ways - lots of measuring and cutting. These tiles can only be installed in on direction because of the glue strip locations. Plan carefully and for me 10% waste was cutting it close. In the end this option is really no cheaper than ceramic tile, but it is certainly more forgiving underfoot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks Great I had this Traffic Master Allure tile installed over a 30 year old vinyl floor. The installer had no problem with "broken" tiles as some reviewers mentioned. Eight boxes were delivered to my local HD and arrived in a week. The floor looks great and is a vast improvement compared to the old floor. I hope it lasts as long as the old one.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from allure tile Ceramique Dusk 216613 For it looks and durability I give it a "A" plus. For installation I give it a C. It was very difficult getting the 16 x 32 inch tile to line up and set into place. The edges are very sticky and if your not perfect lining up you will have a very tough time removing them from one another. The manual says 15 minutes but I say 2 minutes. Cutting the material was fairly easy but make sure you buy heavy duty razors. If you buy the special order material like I did they will ship it through a trucking company. I was very disappointed by the way it was packaged. I don't know who packaged it but it was shipped on a pallet with some of the boxes damaged. Some of the tiles were deformed and the corners damaged. Luckily I bought enough to finish the job with one to spare. The floor does look nice and it did take longer than expected to install. I do recommend it but it's not easy as the say it is to install.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great product/Not so great packaging The tile looks amazing when the job is complete but the packaging is not of the same quality. The tile is not available in store so I had the tile shipped to my local store. I picked up the tile very easily and everything appeared to be in excellent condition. Once I began laying the tiles, I realized many of the tiles had broken corners. I had ordered enough tile to complete a second bathroom and knew I would need to cut off that broken edge so I did not return anything to the store for replacement. This could have been a big deal; preventing me from completing my project on time. Overall, this tile looks like real ceramic when complete and I will use it again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks and feels like real ceramic tile and very easy to install I installed this in a powder room and I'm so pleased with it that I plan on putting it in my other bathrooms. Very nice product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from First DIY project After watching a few YouTube videos on how to install, this project went fairly smoothly. The tile was easy to handle and cut. My kitchen floor looks wonderful. I even had a few people say they can't believe it's vinyl. It has the look and feel of stone.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Traffic masters Allure HD needs to ensure boxes are not thrown. Although the the packaging is good the tiles crack on the corners. Separate under the tile glue portions should be provided

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Little harder than we thought to install but love the final result Looks so good we are going to put it in the kitchen later this year.
