Product page has a downloadable PDF of the instructions. I downloaded it before I even considered buying the flooring just to make sure I'd be able to handle the install myself! :)

Alternatively, there are higher grades of Allure flooring that ARE waterproof (I'm looking at this option for my bathroom). It costs a bit more, but then you wouldn't have the worry. Read Less

No- not the amber ash, anyway. I have put the pine in my son's room (has a cat that spills stuff all the time) & in my front enclosed porch. No problems with those. Picked amber ash to try to match adjacent flooring. Big mistake. Not for use with puppies/dogs IMO

Since the only thing that sticks is the edge, how does this "stick to the floor? Can you put it over very flat, very solid indoor/outdoor carpeting?

Answer:
I wouldn't. The floor doesn't actually stick to anything - it's a floating floor, and you install it to within 1/8" of the walls in a room. The planks are very flexible, and I'm afraid that even a very flat indoor/outdoor carpeting would be too soft underneath and there would be too much "give" in the floor. Best surface is a solid, hard surface with no give, like subfloor or concrete.

Thank you for your question...you can not install this product over carpet or any soft materials. The flooring is floating and does not need to stick to the floor.

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 46 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy installation, great look I had been putting off replacing the carpet in our guest bedroom out of anxiety over the install. Why did I wait so long? This product is super easy to install. I watched the Home Depot installation video first, then a couple of YouTube videos for the product as reinforcement. You don't even need a saw, just score the plank with a box cutter and snap it. Use tin snips for cutting small, irregular cuts when needed to go around something. After prepping the room the night before (removing carpet, sweeping and filling some cracks in the concrete), did the whole install in about 4 hours for a 10.5' X10.5' room with closet. And that was with liberal beer breaks. The floor looks great! Very happy. July 21, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Seriously couldn't be easier I am very, very impressed with this product. The packaging says it's the easiest flooring you'll ever install, and boy is that accurate! Total time to lay the floor in my rather large great room (not including ripping out the carpet, sweeping, tearing out the tack strips, etc.) was probably less than six hours. I am a 39-year-old, rather petite woman, and I managed it just fine on my own. There's something to be said for being able to easily do a project on your own... it saves money (and does NOT look cheap, BTW!), and it's good for my ego. :) Word to the wise: order extra, because there is a bit of a "learning curve" and you want to account for mistakes... as well as an occasional damaged plank. Unfortunately, one of our boxes was very damaged... and I suspect it's because someone (not I!) may have put the box on its end and crushed the corner, but for the price per box, I really wasn't all that broken up about it and was able to use a lot of that box anyway. Be sure when you store these things that you do NOT store them on end. Store them FLAT, and do not stack them more than three boxes high. Cutting around corners and weird bits was breeze-easy... truly, just score with a utility knife, bend it, and snap it off. My neighbor is also putting in vinyl flooring, and she's out on her deck in the hot summer sun with the circular saw custom-cutting pieces. It is taking her DAYS. Mine took HOURS. I'm sure her floor will look amazing, too... but I just don't have the time for that. (I also lack an automated saw of any kind - and seeing as I would like to retain all ten of my digits, not likely to own/rent one in the future.) Of course, only time will tell just how well it will withstand wear and tear, but I have a pretty good feeling about it. I know that our five cats and Great Dane will certainly give it a good workout! September 8, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful floor I wanted a new floor with out the expense of laminate. This flooring goes down nicely, cleans nicely and was well within our budget. I made a mistake in ordering and Home Depot came through with the needed boxes We are going to do the family room and change it into the dining room. I will love the look as it flows through the house. April 28, 2016

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great floow and easy install We are using this floor in a vacation cabin that will get a lot of wet feet from the river. It went down very easy and looks great! Very easy to cut to fit in different shapes. April 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Vinyl Plank Flooring Easy to install and looks great, If I had one complaint it would be the picture is much lighter in color than what came. April 15, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great flooring This was so easy to install I told my husband I want to do it. So with his help (measuring and cutting) I installed it. Super easy!!! We put it in our small front bath took about 2hrs with some stopping due to little helpers. You do want to make sure and let the floor sit for 24-48 hrs in the room where you will be installing to get used to the temp. I did have one problem with the seam around my air vent the cold air was causing the seam to seperate. So I clogged the vent with paper towels and used a blow dryer to reheat the seam which closed as soon as the heat hit it left the vent clogged for 48 hrs to set and havent had a problem since. This really is a beautiful floor and have had lots of compliments on it. It does show scuff marks going to purchase the allure floor cleaner to see if it will take them out. But i do love the floor and plan on putting it in the kitchen next! June 30, 2011
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This product goes down quickly and easily I chose this product for it's value and ease of installation. I installed throughout a 1200 sq ft home. I wanted a seamless look and this product fit the bill because it can be installed in bathrooms. It feels great underfoot and looks like real plank wood flooring. I'm a 60 year old grandmother and I'd install this product again. October 15, 2013
