Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Chris A Great DIY floor
We needed a DIY floor that would float over our existing horrible floor. My husband and I did this ourselves with minimal tools. At first we did just the laundry room, but after it was down we did both bathrooms. I love this floor. It's durable, easy to clean, looks fantastic. A great weekend project.

Highly recommend this flooring. We chose this floor to set off the Kitchen Nook area in our kitchen. Wanted something that could handle spills. It looks like laminated flooring but so easy to install.
So so so happy with this.

We decided on the Allure flooring in our basement because of other reviews we had read. Not disappointed in the product at all. Once we were able to finally get the product to our house, it was a family project that took around 8 hours to complete two rooms-one small 120 sq ft room and a large family area 480 sq ft. We stacked our joints in a 3', 2', 1' pattern and it looks great. The scoring tool is the best for trimming up the pieces. Recommend using a work table to make your cuts so you're not always bent over, and children to fetch pieces and pick up papers as you go! Does not pull back up as easily as suggested and the grip strip will rib....so just don't goof up! If you use the divider papers along the grip strip as you're marking around corners, etc, you won't have that problem. Great product.
I would NOT recomment the ship to home option. While it sounds convenient, it turned into a hassle for us.
A simple phone call from Home Depot and/or the carrier would have made a HUGE difference in our satisfaction with the delivery process.

I love the Allure product. It's been installed in my living room for several years and I just now installed it in a bedroom. Long Lasting product. Note: Doesn't travel well when shipped direct to your home. Special Order it at the store and pick it up from them.

Product performs like in video. Resists water and stuff on panel side. Easy to install and can be done by anyone.
I worked with it in a small space and had to constantly measure. The tacky glue that is supposed to adhere to the other strips may only be applied to the other strip once and removing it will cause the glue to be removed also. Measuring it against the bath tub takes an expert.

Floor looks great. We put it down in the lower level of our residence (concrete flooring), and it completely enhanced the appearance! Extremely easy to install!! Only negative is that is seems to scratch somewhat easy. But, still beautiful nonetheless!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by DIYBECAUSEIMCHEAP Excellent Flooring, THE BEST for radiant floor heating!!!
I researched this flooring for a year because we were using it throughout the entire house except the bathrooms, laundry and entry way. My wife, my sons and I installed this ourselves and had never done anything like this prior. I have over 1200 square feet of this installed. I read the instructions to the letter and called the manufacturer to talk to them directly because we were installing the flooring over a radiant floor heating system. I have a low temperature (130 degree F max) below the floor radiant heating system. I have 3/4" sub flooring with 1/2" sanded plywood and the Allure is installed directly onto the sanded plywood. I have at least 1/8" gap between the edge of the flooring and all walls and permanent structures (island and cabinets). We installed soft pads on the legs of the kitchen chairs, bar stools, table and couches just to get the maximum wear out of the flooring. We entertain frequently and move the furniture around quite often to accommodate people so this flooring gets used.
As far as the heating aspects, this flooring transmits the heat to the room and acts as a heat storage device! The floor is nice and warm when the heat is on and transfers the heat to the room better than the ceramic tile in the other rooms. I have read all kinds of bad reviews for this product pealing up and buckling etc. I am here to say that after 3 heating seasons the floor looks and performs as good as the day it was installed! The past two winters were record lows and the longest number of consecutive days below freezing. I hope this helps because at the time I could not find much about installing this flooring over radiant heated floors.

The product was what I expected. Had to be special ordered because it was not available in store. My contractor did an excellent installation. A roller was used. Almost did not use because the product was totally misrepresented by the store associate . So my contractor contacted the manufacturer. Now I realize that we probably voided the warranty by the way we used it but I think it will be ok. If not I will try lumber liquidators next.
