Customer Questions & Answers

Does the entire back of these tiles have adhesive on them or just the connection strips?
Asked by: Anonymous
No, that is the beauty of this flooring. The edges have adhesive that bond tightly together, but the tiles do not adhere to the floor itself. The floor fits snuggly within the walls of the shifting. I wasn't sure how this would work either so I bought six tiles and stuck them together and put them down like a mat in my kitchen. I could see how well they bonded together and got an idea of how they would wear in this high traffic area.

How do i cut this product

Asked by: Foley
To cut the plank, I used a utility knife. I would score the plank several times with the knife along the cut line I desired, then I would hold down one side of the plank firmly using a steel set square, and pry the other side up to snap it along the score line. For complex cuts, you can use a set of tin snips. I have a large set and they where good at cutting this product. If you have a heat gun (or hair dryer) and wish to throw some heat on to soften up the material, the tin snips will go through it easily.

Allure 6 in. x 36 in. Iron Wood Luxury Vinyl Plank Flooring (24 sq. ft. / Case) is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 203.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good product Excellent product for price point, durability, and looks. Caution: keep floors clean and buy cloth sliders. Holds up to pet spills excellent. No weeping like other floor types. This is the 3rd Allure vinyl plank floor from Traffic Master I have installed. Happy with all 3; however, the other 2 (country pine, ? cherry, seams were barely visible. This color/style (ironwood)is little more glossy and easier to notice it is vinyl not real wood in bright lighting. Also, this floor shows the white underlayment at the seams the surface is laid on in shadowy light at night. Not in direct light. Only when light from a lamp is on in another room. Overall, a great product but I think I would have picked another color/pattern if I knew the seams would be visible in reflected light....

To start of with, installation was easy, a good knife, tin snips, and some planning, and you should be ok. It went down easy, just be careful to make sure the floor is very clean. I have 3 or 4 spots, that something got underneath, and there is a little lump. As for the floor, after all this time, there are no malfunctions with the floor. There is not any separation, or any major defect. I followed the directions as best as I could, including rolling the floor. This biggest problem that there has been is, not so much the scratches, but the scuff marks. This floor loves scuff marks. This was evident when I was installing it. The knee pads scuffed the floor. My sons toy cars scuff the floor, moving furniture with felt pads scuffs the floor. Sometimes I feel looking at the floor will scuff. To try to solve the scuff marks, I, once every 4-6 months, scuffed the floor with an abrasive green pad, cleaned it up, and put the allure floor wax stuff down. To do about 800 sq.ft. was time consuming. However, it was very beautiful after every time. But, in a month or so, new scuff marks would be there. After the 1 1/2 mark, I stopped obsessing over it. My recommendation: take a sample home, scratch it with you nails, run something across it. If what you see does not bother you, then you should be good. But if what you do see bothers you, imagine that on 100s of sqft. If the finish did not scuff, it would be perfect. After 3 1/2 years we are replacing the floor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful and Easy to Install This flooring was very easy to install. We purchased it for a rental house and it was recommended for durability. The sticky tabs are VERY sticky, best to insert a corner first then line it up, lay it down and press hard into place. Working alone, I laid about 500 sq ft over 2 days (5 hours each day). Since it's a floating floor and doesn't stick to the sub-floor, I laid it right over the old hardwood flooring, so if we ever sell, we can take this up and refinish the hardwood.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easiest install ever, no joke! Make sure your seams are tight and watch some YouTube videos and you will be happy. Don't worry about underlayment or rose paper, just put it down. Looks great and I'm looking forward to seeing its durability that was sold to me in the store. I installed mine in a travel trailer with lots of cuts(easy). The product does not take much of a score to snap it in cold or warm temps. For tricky angle/curved cuts, a pair of large tin snips came in handy. I will definitely recommend this product and use it again so long as it holds up as advertised. It definitely installed as advertised. Looks good and feels good and soft with the socks on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent budget flooring! Great budget friendly flooring. You get a decent looking flooring that is fairly simple to install with minimal tools (blade, tape measure, square) at an excellent price! My only complaints are scuffs are hard to get out (if you even can), but I went with a darker Iron Wood color, so that can be expected I guess. You better be lined up right when putting these down b/c the adhesive sticks instantly...Which is good and bad, but more good. Overall I am very happy with this flooring. For what I paid, I feel I got more than I paid for. I had minimal expectations for this and it exceeded them. I would buy this again if budget was in mind or for a bathroom.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to install and looks beautiful! This flooring is the easiest flooring to install. I have done extensive research on DIY flooring and Allure is the only brand sold on the market with the grip strip technology, making it durable, waterproof, and quick to install. I have replaced all of the carpet in all four of my bedrooms and it looks stunning and I love how easy it is to keep clean! I give this flooring 5 Stars!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Decent but Cheap Installing the product was incredibly easy. I only had one issue with joints misaligning, and that was my fault entirely. The only negative thing is how easily these planks scratch. And the fact that they're black on top of that, which just shows the scratches even more. But the flooring looks great! (As long as you're careful)
