I had this installed in my mobile home 5 years ago and it's wonderful. When they say water proof, they're not kidding! It has survived teenagers and pets and still looks great. I chose the Light Teak for kitchen, bathroom, laundry room and entry way and the Natural Cork for master bathroom and it just looks brand new. The only problem would be if you have to fix a sub-floor...you can't easily remove just a few planks like you can wood. However, if that's not an issue - go for it!

The floor was very carefully prepped in order for this installation; a barrier plastic was put down. And then Allure went down with great care.

I really loved this product in Blonde Maple when I first put it down in the basement. It was a tremendous improvement over the berber carpet and it gave the room a clean and airy look. It was super easy to install and looked beautiful for the first couple of months. However, after 2 months I noticed some of the plank edges were coming up so I used my seam roller to reattach them. After a day or two, the seams became unattached again and in places had a buckling, raised effect. I still loved the look of the floor so I recently purchased ecoglue and re-glued the seams. Now when I come downstairs I notice another seam that has become unattached and I have to use the glue to adhere the planks to each other. I have just about reglued every seam at this point. When installing the floor I followed the instructions to a T so I firmly believe this is definitely a design flaw in the product. Armstrong is going to have to do something about the adhesive on their product if they want a long standing, quality product and satisfied customers. The flooring material itself is beautiful and very realistic looking. The glue/adhesive material is subpar. If a friend were to ask me about the flooring I would tell them about the glue problems. I believe this would be a deal breaker for many. Too bad, because I really love the look of the plank flooring product.

Relatively easy to install. Very attractive and extremely durable. Probably one of the best floor covering products available while very affordable.

I have been using this product on some of my rentals for the past 5 years, in entry ways and hallways. and liked the way it has held up. Then during Thanksgiving when they had it half price, I decided to get it for two more rentals. It has the rich look of wook without the work of wood. I installed it myself, I did not install it per instructions, because of my last install I had about 5% waste. So this time I laid it from one corner of the home and did the one room, when I hit a wall i used the remainder to start the next room, and then the next room after that. When done with the first strip I went back to where I started and put down the second row. If I had to stop I used the wax papert to cover the adheasive edges to keep them clean. Also I vacumed the floor continuesly to keep it from getting on the adheasive part of the planks. Keep the scraps as they can be used for wall edges and corners. After doing the whole home except for the bathrooms, I laid out a little over 1400 sq feet of the product and ended up with just 2 sq feet of waste pieces. That is about .14% waist! I had so much left over I started to do a third one. My only regret is that I may have to wait until next Thanksgiving to get this deal again? It pays to watch for that "Deal of the Day". My only reason for down grading the Installation is they want you to do a prymide pattern, while easier to do wastes much more product. Also the heasive tends to stick to one side if you have to remove them for some reason. On the quality I do wish the finished layer was a little thicker. Handle the boxes carefully as if they are drop on the box edge the planks damage easily. I was lucky as only three boxes were slightly damaged out of 110 boxes.
