Answer:
The ORIGINAL Country Pine has more rustic marks running through it. Dark black/brown lines (rustic markings) on it. The NEW Country Pine doesn't have all the distinctive markings running through it. Here's a picture with our engineered maple floors (my feet are on the "antique maple floors" & the New Country Pine is in the doorway and into the room. Hope that helps

I think we went through about 7 boxes for a 10x13 room. Around that many. Home Depot can calculate for you. Just call them.

Answer:
Depending on if there are any cuts that need to be made, 7 or 8 boxes should do it since each box covers 24 sq ft and you have 144 sq ft of space. You have to allow for some waste if you have to make any cuts.

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.9 out of 5 by 11 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Awesome! Great floor for the price! Easy to install and is holding up good with pets April 18, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wonderfully SURPRISED We have very expensive (that was a mistake) engineered antique maple floors running through our entire house. We still need to put floors in our Master Bedroom, Master Bath and Master closet/laundry room. We were going to put tile due to moisture and in case we have a leak with the washer. I saw these and the person in Home Depot told me how great they are. None of the samples were an exact match--some were close. Then, I went to the website and saw "New Country Pine". Online...it looked like it matched. It was marked "Overstock Item" with FREE SHIPPING to our home. It was marked down from $1.99 Sq Ft to either $1.29 or $1.19 (can't remember now). So, I figured --what do I have to lose? I can have it shipped free & if it doesn't match I will take it back to our local store. It arrived and is a beautiful match. We installed it in the laundry room on a Sunday and it took only a couple hours. The next two rooms should go quicker. You would NEVER know these are vinyl. They are softer and warmer under your feet, also. They are gorgeous and super easy to install. We wish we had done the entire house with these and saved a TON of money and with no scratch marks. We highly recommend them. February 12, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Incredible Wear, Look and Feel of Wood Installed this in our park model kitchen in Florida and wanted to experience the durability for a couple of seasons before we installed it throughout our diningroom, hallway, bath and bedroom. Our kitchen definitely is exposed to a high traffic area and this floor has met the test! Everyone thinks it's laminate by the look and feel (does have a grain to it) until we tell them otherwise. The only suggestion I would make is if you have a high traffic area and you put the Allure cleaner/polish on your floor, you will see dulling in the areas of higher traffic since the product puts a shine on the floor once applied. I prefer to not put the cleaner/polish on now knowing how it wears off. Otherwise, the floor has been wonderful and was extremely easy to install. December 18, 2011
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Amazing The planks were super easy to install. The glue strips are easy to align and a truly fantastic system. We've received compliments and I'm looking forward to installing in other rooms of the house. The hardest part of the install is cutting around doorways. As other reviewers say, you can use scissors, but you need a really good pair of scissors and an iron grip. While installing, its critical to ensure that the floor is as smooth as possible. After laying the floor, I kept feeling this bump. I got tired of "finding" the bump each time I walked into the room so I decided to pull up the plank and get rid of whatever was underneath it. I was able to pull up the plank using the enclosed instructions. Underneath the plank I found a very small pebble. Not a rock, or debris, just a pebble. The good news is, I was able to replace the plank and the floor still looks seamless. I find the easy replacement of planks a plus, this way if some of planks get damaged the entire floor doesn't need replaced. A truly great product. July 31, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Trafficmaster Allure New Country Pine Vinyl Flooring We got a screaming deal on this flooring; basically, it was half price online. Have spent the last day and a half laying it down right on top of the old vinyl and it is beautiful! Looks like an old pine plank floor and makes the kitchen feel more country but doesn't echo like real wood does. June 26, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This is the flooring is the very best! I cannot believe how easy this flooring has been to install. I am a female senior citizen and have never installed a floor it has been a snap. My kitchen is awesome. I am going to install this in my RV next. Thank You Home Depot! November 7, 2011
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Better than carpet... I wanted to replace the carpet in our first floor (found sand dunes of dirt underneath it) and took a chance on going with this as it was 50% off on the day I bought it. It took me nearly 22 hours to install this in 2 hallways, 2 closets, a 12x23 family room and a 10x18 kitchen. It installed easily enough but was just long and tedious. Making cuts for going around walls, doorways, etc is incredibly difficult. 24 hours after rolling it I've noticed a few blemishes with the product where a corner may rise a little or the plank floats above the subfloor and compresses when walked on. I hope these go away with time. This is the only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5. The surface is tough and handles the traffic of pets and kids without an issue. I was incredibly afraid of the smell that other users had reported online but I haven't had any issues with the floor smelling bad. Overall I'm happy with the end result and may even pay the full price to add more to other parts of the house later. People that saw the pictures did think that I put in a wood floor! July 3, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love it It took two days to install and we are so happy with the result. It really does have the appearance of real wood. June 26, 2012
