Customer Questions & Answers

we want 600 sq ft of allure flooring shipped to a house that is vacant. Will they call or e-mail when it is delivered??

Asked by: Anonymous
Ted, Read my review. I was not happy with the delivery service. You are better off picking it up at the store. The delivery service only drops and runs. I had to carry the boxes up the driveway in the rain with zero help from the driver. Thank goodness i was home. Talk to your store manager for the best option.

Can a wet mop be used?

I see that a steam cleaner is not to be used, but what about wet mopping? Are there approved cleaners that can be used? After initial installation the floors are very dirty and a dry mop isn't going to cut it.
Asked by: KrisAnne
yes, I just would not make of habit of dripping wet mop so it leaves pools on the floor

Allure 6 in. x 36 in. Pacific Pine Luxury Vinyl Plank Flooring (24 sq. ft. / Case) is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 89.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful Flooring! Installed this product today in a small condo. Flooring was easy to score, cut, and looks just like real wood! We used tin snips, a box cutter, a level, and a square. My son-in-law installed approximately 400 square feet and it took about 6 hours. I was looking for something to warm up the condo (it's all white) and Pacific Pine fits the bill! I highly recommend this product.

Love the color and ease of installation. Looks so great! The weathered look of Pacific Pine hides imperfections. We used 29 boxes, and all boxes blended well together. My only complaint, is that the flooring seems to dent easily. For example, when installing the floor, we had a garbage can in the basement, and at one point dragged it rather than lifted it. If you now look at the floor at a certain angle, in a certain light, you can see a mark. So I suggest lifting anything that could possibly leave a mark. That being said, because Pacific Pine is a weathered/distressed look, these marks are not very noticeable.

Installation was easy, however the videos referenced by the installation instructions pointed to the wrong product. I had to search for a while on YouTube to find someone who had installed this exact product. But I did find a few videos and after watching them I felt confident in my ability to get the job done. My installation was only 120sq ft, but it looks really amazing with the new flooring. I would definitely purchase this flooring again.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from You pay for what you get. I don't love this product. It LOOKS beautiful however it is NOT durable. The scuff marks are beyond ridiculous and there is no getting that shine back, at all! It's so frustrating. It also separates at the seams far too easily. This was installed by a professional and I stil find mindself walking over to the edge of a plank because it is not completely sticking down and jumping and pushing on it to get it to go back down. I have a dog and his nails have marked up the floor. If I have my vacuum on, with the roll spinning, it leaves marks on the floor. (It took me a while to figure that out) I couldn't really afford anything more expensive but you really do pay for what you get.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Like the floor We installed this flooring in our entry way and entry way from our garage into a bathroom and laundry room...I love the look of the floor and seems easy to clean. My Husband is installing the floor he says it's not hard but there's alot of cuts had to pull a toilet and then dropped it trying to bring it back into the I'm happy so far but I did read someone had said they had alot of scratches, well first off in upper entry I noticed like a shiny mark not really a scratch and in lower level same thing not sure what that's from but I'm hoping this floor doesn't get anymore of that. So I love the floor easy to clean but it's just weeks old, just me and my husband live in the house time will tell

We just finished laying the floor throughout our house, and it is beyond beautiful! Folks that came in raved over our 'wood' floors. I laughed and said, you do realize these are not wood floors, and they hand to bend down and touch it to believe me! I don't think anybody could be disappointed in this flooring. If you are looking for a flooring that has a hint of gray to it, looks distressed and will lay easily, look no further. We are very happy with it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Flooring: Easy Install, Durable, Looks Gorgeous! I cannot say enough good things about this flooring! I had mine shipped to home and all arrived in perfect condition. Pieces from various boxes all blended well with one another. (I did not have to open all the boxes and mix them up to get them to look right.) Installation is the easiest I've ever husband an I did our entire downstairs in a weekend (about 1600 square feet). Went right over our subfloor, and I love the fact that you can just sweep before installing...the floor underneath does not have to be perfectly spotless. Cuts easily with a razor knife or tin snips (I used both). Regarding this specific color (Pacific Pine), it looks so real, I've had Realtors walk into my house and think it's real wood, and bend down to touch it. Because of its rustic finish, it is also very forgiving...even when we installed the matching quarter round throughout the house, we didn't even have to fill in the nail heads because they blend right in. It's extremely easy to clean with either a vacuum, broom, or Swiffer Wet Jet. (Do not use a steam mop on it due to the adhesive.) I have kids, pets, and an active household. There has been no damage from any of it. However, it is nice to know that if a spot did get damaged, we would be able to replace just that one piece without having to tear up the whole floor. We've had water spill and sit on it for a weekend with zero damage of any kind. I do see that some other reviewers complain of "scratches," which I can't imagine. Unless your chair's feet are made of pointy nails, nothing will gouge this stuff. If you are sliding things on it without felt feet, it could make a shiny spot, (which can be avoided by simply lifting and carrying things or using felt feet), but even then, you'd be hard pressed to see it and even then, only at a certain angle in a certain light. Here are some tips others might find helpful: ~You can use the "papers" you pull off each piece to make "templates" for more complicated cuts, such as around a column. ~Buy a pack of razor blades and change the blade in your razor knife often. Use tin snips or even good quality kitchen shears for more detailed cuts. ~If you have any nails sticking up from your subfloor, pound them in, and put a little dab of adhesive over them so they won't pop up under your flooring later. (I find that ones which have popped up in the past are likely to pop up again.) ~The matching quarter rounds and transition strips match perfectly and work really well. I've also used this flooring in another color, for a rental property I own. Kids, giant dogs, etc...looks just as perfect as the day we installed it. I'll be using this product in every home I own from now on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the look I have really enjoyed my new floor. It looks great and was easy to install ourselves. It was a very inexpensive and durable solution for us. We have 2 big dogs and 5 cats so now I can clean thoroughly and don't have to wonderful what is in my carpet. Yes it does get a shining marks when scratched. You only see it in certain light and it is not a deal breaker for us. Still love it.
