Installing in a closet with a door in the floor to the crawlspace

I would love to install this product in my master closet, but the door to the crawlspace is in the middle of the closet. Can I install the floor, cut out around the door, and glue it on the door to create a near seamless effect?
Asked by: spider
Thank you for your question. We do not recommend gluing or nailing this product to the floor. Doing so will void the warranty.

no, we do not recommend using a steam vac on our product. It could cause the adhsive to soften and lift.

This product was highly recommended to us, so we opted to put it our kitchen and we are so glad we did! It looks great and we are probably going to put it in other areas of our house! We installed the Rosewood color and it is rich and gorgeous. In addition, the simulated woodgrain is spectacular. This was installed two weeks ago and the compliments have been rolling in. LOL It exceeds our expectations and we are so happy.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very Easily Scratched This flooring is very easily scratched. If you are looking for a tough floor that stands up to dogs, cats, and muddy boots this isn't for you. This product is incredibly easy to install and the design is very pretty, I really want to love this floor but its as good as garbage because it scratches so easily and my floor is only one week old. If you want a good durable product get pergo. We installed pergo in our basement and it has held up incredibly over three years. This allure product looks terrible in one week, the only reason we bought it was because of the waterproof properties for the kitchen. We installed this in the dining room, hallway, and kitchen. We wish we would have just gone with pergo, even though it is more expensive and not waterproof. Moral of the story don't waste your money when this will scratch easily and will look old and heavily used in a weeks time.

It was fairly easy to install but I would highly recommend buying the cutting-board tool that cuts across the short axis. I had some difficulty cutting pieces along the long axis as this material is really tough. I could not cut it with a box cutter knife and had to use tin snips. This flooring looks very good but it still has a slightly "plastic" look. A flooring installer told me that there are higher quality products available but they cost lots more.

Immediately after the installation, we noticed several scratches, which cut across the grain....no way to get them out. We had unopened box, and checked the new pieces, which also were badly scratched. We contacted the manufacturer to see if there was any product we could use to get the scratches out, and they recommended "Rejuvenate". We tested one spot, and while it helped, slightly, the scratches were very evident. We decided to use Rejuvenate over the rest of the floor, hoping it would help, but sadly there are just too many scratches! This product was marketed as “Traffic Master” – no way would this stand up to even light traffic! We plan to speak to Home Depot's store manager to see what can be done......what a disaster! This flooring needs to be replaced!!!!!!

The only negative was some of the prices were damaged during shipping and were not usable (one entire box). Luckily I ordered just enough extra to allow me to complete the job.
