Answer:
If it is just plain concrete, just lay the planks over it - no need for underlayment or anything else. For over tiles (which is what I had to do), use some sort of leveler or concrete patch to fill in the grout areas. I was told that eventually the lines would show as the vinyl is somewhat pliable. When I filled in the holes I did not try to make it perfect, just somewhat level.

Answer:
Brenda, this stuff is easy to install. You can lay it directly on concrete. If the tiles are in good shape and flat, you should be able to lay it right over them. The product sticks to itself, not the subfloor.

Answer:
If your installing over existing ceramic tiles make sure you skim coat the grout lines first. This will give the floor a smooth look and feel.

Answer:
This is basically a floating floor. You use double sided tape at the edges but other than that it is not adhered to the sub-floor in any way. As long as the concrete surface is level and flat it should work. The planks are flexible but not too thin.

Answer:
It's 'floating' flooring, so you can just lay it right over tile or concrete without any glue/adhesive. The tiles glue to one another at the edges. It's pretty forgiving but your existing floor has to be relatively flat - it will work fine over the grout lines between tiles or control joints between concrete slabs. I put these over my concrete floors in my covered patio and they look fantastic!

I don't think it will work well on stairs. The planks have an adhesive system that requires them to be married toghter and it is meant to be a floating installation.

Note however that the use of any type of adhesive underneath this floor is going against the manufacturers intended purpose. Also, at this time there are no stair nose pieces available for use with Allure style flooring, so you would need to use a different style edging piece to finish the corners where the tread meets the riser. Rated 5 out of 5 by from This floor is great! We bought this flooring for the kitchen. We needed something durable for the dogs and water resistant for spills. I found this floor online- they don't carry it in the store or even have samples in the store. So we bought it sight-unseen. The first things you should know....it's nowhere near as dark as the sample picture looks. We were hoping it was, but it's still very pretty. It's detailed and looks great. (I added a couple pictures. Please excuse the messy kitchen, but we had to pile the stuff somewhere!). Once the first row was complete, it was a simple job. It took 1 person 3 hours to do 350 square feet. We ordered 10% too much to be safe....and have 10% left over! The floor has been down 1 week now. None of the pieces are coming up and there aren't any scratches. We slid the appliances around and it didn't bother anything. So far, its great. It made a huge difference in the kitchen, and we would definitely buy it again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful and easy to install This floor has a unique look and is really lighter than in the pictures. It looks very much like aged wood. The installation was easy after the first row and after I got the hang of it. It takes some planning especially in a small room so that all the seams are not in the same place because only the end planks can be cut. Cutting the planks to size was easy after I learned the score and snap method. It looks great and I love that I don't have to worry about water like you do with real wood.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Look and Easy Install The look and ease of installation make it far superior to laminate without the worry of warping or absorbing moisture. The advertising says "the easiest floor ever" - I agree to a point. The biggest gotcha regarding this type of flooring are the adhesive strips and the absolute necessity to ensure the seams are aligned and flush before installing; if not you will need a blow dryer to melt the adhesive between each plank. Other than this, I couldn't be more satisfied with look, durability, value, and ease of installation. I was skeptical at first, but this product far exceeded my requirements and expectations!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful We have an old house and our floors are not exactly level so I thought this would be a great solution for a kitchen floor. We installed it ourselves in 4 hours and we aren't exactly spring chickens. It was a little hard for us to cut around the corners but a tin snippers we had on hand worked great. I have noticed we need to be careful when moving chairs on it as it scuffs pretty easily but it's minor and I think that might be the Satin Oak color we chose. But I might be very careful walking on it wearing high heels though. Installing the planks themselves was super easy. We made a couple mistakes and just pulled the planks back up and relayed them. Floor is cushy to walk on. Can't beat the value!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product, Easy to Install!! Product has a great look a feel to it. Installation was very easy! I installed this floor in our mud/laundry room (great with pets), as well as my girlfriends parents half bathroom. Very pleased with both! Will use the product in the future, huge fan of plank flooring.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice Product. Great Price Installed this flooring in my basement. Looks great, the price $1,29/sq ft is unbeatable. Install was relatively easy, although I would say the tounge and groove lock in style flooring is easier than the stick adhesive. Also once you stick and press a piece in, very hard to go back/reverse course and fix so be careful. Overall would definitely recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Supper easy to install. We used it for our craft room. We wanted a afordable floor with easy clean up. Best option for if you can't do real wood.
