Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by BIlly Great product but be warned that this is a totally smooth finish and not embossed with a texture.
When I was shopping for flooring for this project I looked at many products, including others in the Allure line. I have to admit that I was under the impression that this product had a textured finish - at least it looked like it and there is one review here that also gave that impression. When I received the special order for this color I only looked at it briefly to check the color but saw it had exposed adhesive edges and didn't really want to handle it. Not until I cracked open the box to install it did I realize it has a totally smooth finish. Ultimately it looks like it's textured so I guess that's all that matters in a floor that I'll only ever walk on in shoes. In any case the smooth, hard surface seems extremely durable so I'm happy with the finished look but a little dissatisfied with the actual feel of the product. That's a very minor gripe.
I was a bit nervous about installing this product because I had some issues with the floor. There was a crack that needed filling and also a rough area in the surface that needed some smoothing. I used a concrete patch product as well as a floor leveling compound to prepare the surface. Once everything was dry I vacuumed the floor to get all the little particles out of the way.
Once you lay two pieces together and they are flat you will be hard pressed to get them apart. Be very precise with your edges and corners and everything will be fine. There is some leeway to move things at tiny bit to close a small gap or make an edge flatten but make sure everything is lined up before you fully set it down from the 45 degree placement position.
This was my first time installing a product like this although I had quite a bit of experience installing ceramic til some 20 years ago. If you are a careful, patient person I would say nearly anyone could do this.
Cutting the tile is best accomplished upside down. For most straight cuts I scored the edge with a razor and "broke" the backing by closing the finished side together, then I'd cut the crease in the finished surface. I had a couple pieces that needed trimming or shaping at the cut and for that I used large shears like the type used to cut metal lath of chicken-wire. The whole thing took about 2.5-3 hours to do 120 square feet. Measuring and cutting were the most time consuming elements.
I am very satisfied with the outcome of this part of the project.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by MitziHol30 DO NOT FEAR, THIS IS A GREAT PRODUCT. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
My first time buying floors online. And having to trust Home Depot—that was the toughest part. I must say, the experience was wonderful! Let’s go in order: I purchased 11 boxes of Modern Oak Broadway Resilient Vinyl Plank Flooring. Within a few days they arrived, intact, perfectly packaged, delivered by UPS, and the gentleman deposited, without even blinking or me asking, all of them in my bedroom. (How you are treated by the delivery carrier, honestly, might depend on your location and on the personal character and work ethics of the carrier’s employee.) Home Depot kept me up to date as per the status of the order: being checked, getting ready to ship, in transit, out for delivery and so on. I am posting here photos of the results.
I paid an installer to do the job. The kid (he is young) had no familiarity with this type of product and he did make a few mistakes. Some we were able to correct; some I’ll have to live with. I must say, however, that the mistakes were his and not inherent problems with the vinyl planks. The stickiness of the planks makes it tricky to install them because if you don’t get it right immediately it is difficult to pick up a piece and re-set it. One has to be careful not to bend the corners of each plank. Because of its sticky nature, this plank might be harder to chisel, when you have to shape it to fit special corner or, say, the perimeter of a stone-base fireplace. If one does it DIY-style, I am sure one would put all the love and care and patience to get it perfectly right… My young installer messed up here and there. (However, the same guy installed a different product, Luxury vinyl planks by Coretec and it was a masterpiece! Truly the Michelangelo of floor installation!—that’s because he has worked with non-sticky, click-&-lock planks many many times.)
The floor is extremely pleasant to the touch, smooth but not slippery in the least. The color: there is a lot of grey/silver in it (more than I expected and more than I had hoped for)—but the overall effect is quite beautiful, and elegant. It is not super shiny, but it’s not dull either. It does not look like wood, obviously: it is black and silver, after all. But it does not look like our grandmother’s linoleum either, at all! It is great. This Modern Oak Broadway Resilient Vinyl Plank Flooring went into our humble, 40-year-old, slightly rinky-dink beach house. There was no need to go overboard with extravagantly expensive flooring in a place prone to salty-wind attacks and other coastal natural phenomena. It is perfect! I am very happy with it and would highly recommend it to people with similar need and expectations.
[p.s.: I've been trying for 1 hour to post more than one photo, but HomeDepot website is not uploading my images. Sorry]

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by JMo Great Product & Easy to Install
I installed this flooring upstairs in my music/studio room and couldn't be happier with the results. As one other reviewer noted - the floor has wood grain but is not textured. However, for this room it is perfect. The wood grain part has a shimmer to it that works perfectly for this room. Installation was fairly easy and making cross cuts was simply scoring the plank and then snapping it much like sheetrock. The more difficult part was on the last row where I had to remove a couple of inches length-wise for several of them. Scoring and snapping turned into a forearm workout.

I'm in awe of how beautiful it looks now that it's down on the floor and I can fully appreciate it. It's extremely easy to install. You just score it and snap it like drywall on vertical cuts. Horizontal cuts were challenging because the material is so thick and tough and has fiber glass strands woven into it but that just goes to show the strength of the product. Just make sure you take your time lining each piece up just right as you lay it, because once two pieces are stuck together they aren't coming apart.

I had my tile guys install the floor in 3.5 hours! The install was very efficient and easy! Looks great! The only thing I would mention is being a vinyl plank, the wood "grains" do not match up next to each other in a continuous form. But, with the color, its not a big deal. I had them installed in my office and I couldn't be happier.

Floor looks great. Only issue with installation was the inability to rework the pieces once put together. Installation instructions said there was 30 min of work time but I found it nearly impossible to separate the pieces once the working edges were touched together without breaking the overlap off. Other than that, easy install, great look and great product.
