I love this "waterproof" flooring. I had a professional carpenter install it because there was a lot of cutting to make the pieces fit in my kitchen. If you can measure and cut, you could probably do it yourself. He used a saw with a fine blade. The pieces were rigid but after they were installed they seemed to mold themselves to the floor and it feels like you are walking on a carpet. We have already had some spills and it has been no problem. Some of my friends got the "water resistant" flooring and they had a buckling problem when the floor got wet. Also, no glue had to be used, the pieces just snap together. It is important to have the flooring in your home for 48 hours before installing as is recommended. We picked ours up and had it installed right away. Some of the pieces looked too light and I thought I was going to be disappointed, but they darkened up and blended in beautifully after a few hours. Sometimes you do get what you pay for.

I have installed many laminate floors in my lifetime, but never one as easy as this one. I did install an Allure Trafficmaster floor once in my basement, and it was very easy, but the adhesive let go on half of the floor after a year or so (I purchased that half of the material at a second HD, and I think it was old stock).
However, this new Allure Ultra stuff is just fantasticly easy to lay down! You will need to purchase a small plastic mallet if you don't already have one, and fashion a tapping block, but after that, grab your razor knife and square and go to town! Score it with the knife and snap it like drywall. Didn't touch my compound miter saw once! I laid almost 50 sq ft in my bathroom in about 2 hours, including trimming the door frame. And it looks great! I may never use any other laminate ever again, it's that easy and looks that good!

First of all. We like the product. Looks good. Feels good. We're happy.
However, be careful when/how you order the product. We originally ordered 19 cases in the store. When it arrived at the house we liked it so much we ordered 3 more cases on-line for the master bedroom closet.
It appears that in the time between ordering the first 19 cases and ordering the second 3 cases the company CHANGED MANUFACTURES. The tile from the separate orders do not / did not lock together. The color was the same. The order SKU was the same. But the new tiles would not interlock with the original tiles. The locking design was different. Fortunately for us we were able to use the closet door track as the transition from one tile manufacture to the other. No harm. No foul. Whew...
Just be aware.

Beautiful appearance. Some pieces had a damaged edge that made installation a little difficult, but for the most part it was an easy installation. My son and I had it done in a few hours. Looks like real tile once its down. Too new to tell how it wears but it has a good warranty.

Floor looks great once installed but don't believe anyone who tells you how easy it is to install. The locking system is difficult to get tight. One tip, forget shears or utility knife for cutting around objects like plumbing. Use your sabre saw. Works great, just support both sides of your tiled.

Very hard to install. Lots of spaces between tiles. Hard to cut. Not happy.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by ZZOOOOM Incredibly TOUGH to install. It took my installer 3-weeks full time just to do my kitchen.
We call it the "Million Dollar Floor" because it was so costly to install.
If you do it your self you will lose the will to live.
It may cost you your marriage.
