Hello cal and thank you for your question.
The manufacturer highly recommends that you do not install the TrafficMaster Allure Ultra Red Cherry Resilient Vinyl Plank Flooring in homes that are not temperature controlled year-round (65-86 F). The adhesive will not function properly if exposed to long term heat or cold.
Best wishes on your project.

Hello Peaches and thank you for your question.

You should purchase a minimum of 10% extra to cover mistakes, trimming, for future needs and replacement (if damage occurs). If you are installing on a diagonal pattern, you should increase your purchase by 15% to allow for the pattern.

Hello Peaches and thank you for your question.
Your kitchen floor is 13 feet x 7 feet = 91 square feet.
You should purchase a minimum of 10% extra to cover mistakes, trimming, for future needs and replacement (if damage occurs). If you are installing on a diagonal pattern, you should increase your purchase by 15% to allow for the pattern.
The 10% overage adds 9 more square feet for a total of 100 square feet. The 15% overage adds 14 more square feet for a total of 105 square feet.
Each case of Allure ULTRA has 8 planks with a total of 19.8 square feet per case. You will need to purchase 5 cases (6 cases if installing a diagonal pattern).
For best results, it is important to purchase cases from the same RUN # (dye lot). Different run #’s can have shade variations. If you do have more than one run #, the manufacturer highly recommends that you install planks from 4 or 5 different cases from different run #’s at one time. Randomly mixing the planks in the installation will insure a more natural looking floor.
Best wishes on your project. Read Less

Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 59 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Much better than laminate not sensitive to water leaks, more quiet to walk on, more tolerant of slab floor imperfections, most cuts only require a cutter & straight edge vs. chop saw. July 12, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by fantastic product very nice floor. I wish I used it before this project. This is much better than the other type of this flooring I used. September 1, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love the flooring I have hard wood floors in my room but had vinyl in my morning room. I wanted something that looked like hardwood but wasn't because ofthe traffic of pets and people that go outside and track dirt in from the morning room. I chose a similar pattern to my hardwood floors because it was going to be next to it. I could not be happier with the choice. It looks fabulous. Love it !!! June 3, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Vinyl flooring This product is very durable and relatively easy to install. It looks great. I installed it in the bathroom and in a closet. Also as the liner in the bathroom cabinet. August 25, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice looking waterproof flooring We chose this flooring to span our back entry and small bath. The fact it is waterproof was the big selling point. We are normally real wood people, but just not practical in this space. This is a great compromise. Contractors had no problem with installation; we are satisfied with the look and ease of cleaning. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great product and good looking! I just installed this floor on my whole main floor. Took two weekends to do, but it was no problem! I love it and works great. I have three cats and three dogs. So far no scratches. Just a couple of hints for people looking at getting this product. 1. The instructions on the box say to start with the lower tongue out to insert into the previous piece. I learned doing it the other way (upper tongue inserting into lower for the next board) being ALOT easier, as it slides really well (right under the moulding for me so I hardly had to remove any!). It makes this so much quicker. 2. Scoring can be difficult. And if you have to cut a unique piece, it's possible but can be time consuming. A little hand saw, battery powered, made things a lot easier. Even with just scoring, it can create a deeper score so it makes it easier to snap, especially if you're only cutting off and inch or less. 3. Have a rubber mallet handy. It guarantees locking the pieces in for sure. Other than that, I had no problem! Installed 20 plus boxes of it. And it's waterproof, which is great with the amount of animals in the house. I love it so much, it might be going into the bedrooms next! February 8, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very good looking My floors look great. It was installed a few months ago. I installed this flooring in 2 bathrooms so I only had to put 2 pieces together as I worked my way across the room. The product is so thick that it is hard to cut. Scoring it with a sharp utility knife must be done several times to go deep enough for it to snap at the cut. I also used a jigsaw to make round cuts by the toilet flange. I tried an oscillating saw for the straight cuts and it works too. Pressing hard with the utility knife just made me nervous. I would buy this flooring again. December 17, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A Beautiful Floor! This was a beautiful floor that we finished in one day. I used all 14 boxes. It was tough at first to get the hang of how to install it, but it was easier as we went along. It took three of us, one with a background in building trades (he did all of the cuts and measuring! It went down nice and is beautiful and seems to be pretty durable. My cat tried to scratch it, there were no marks left. August 10, 2013
