I installed the vinyl flooring in two washrooms; the smaller washroom I used the plank hemlock over a new 3/4 inch subfloor; it was installed in a 60' mobile trailer; the second washroom in this trailer I used the vinyl square tiles; both have survived an unheated winter and still look great with no peeling; now I am planning to use the vinyl plank floor for the kitchen and living room areas;

Rated 1 out of 5Â by Reeman1 Locking floor install is not as advertised
Having recently installed this product, there are a few issues that the consumer must take into consideration before selection of this channel lock product.
The floor surface must completely flat. The application will not tolerate any surface deviation whatsoever. Clean room technique must be applied to the product.
Even the slightest particle of dirt or manufacturing detritus will cause the small locking channel to fail. There is often small particles of vinyl left in the long lock channel right out of the box so each piece must be first checked for this and cleaned if necessary.
I do not recommend this product at all for mobile homes or portable buildings as any vertical movement of the floor will cause the lock channel to fail. Portable building have a natural tendency to buckle the floor surface even when in place on post based foundations.
The minimum Canada standard building code for floor joists and sheathing is not adequate for the needs of this product. As 5/8 inch plywood with 16 inch on center joists will not be stable enough over time to prevent failure of the locking system. Most renovation applications to an old but stable surface will require floor leveling compound correction to some extent. If a new construction application has any curved joists wrongly hung (crown down) then a new application will also require floor leveling.
The real world application of this product is definitely not the easiest undertaking and will save the consumer nothing over slightly more expensive but more stable forms of flooring. If the product is not perfectly installed changes in temperature will cause the channel locks to fail. Therefore I do not recommend the use of this product.

I recently put this flooring in my kitchen, dining room and hall. It was easy to install, is easy to clean, and looks great. Everybody who comes in loves it and says it looks like real wood. I have large dogs and this is better for me than wood because it does not scratch like wood. I would highly recommend!

Rated 4 out of 5Â by Jackie Love this floor. Looks beautiful but tricky to get down
We love the appearance of this floor. My husband and I did it ourselves. It was well packed in styrofoam and planks were invdividually separated with paper. However, even though the boxes were untouched, inside a few of the boxes, some corners of the product were bent ! We fortunately used them when we needed to cut and piece but this was disconcerting. We couldn't figure how they were damaged with a well packed, intact box. Secondly, they are supposed to "Snap" in place. In all of the floor that we did in a 14X14 room, only one plank "snapped" into place. Be prepared to "Help" them along. I read reviews on the web from people that used rubber hammers etc. We used a piece of product and tapped them into place with a soft hammer. Lots of trouble. Then sometimes they would disengage since it is essentially a "floating" floor. We had to take down and redo a few rows.In addition, since it is supposed to be scratch resistant, we moved a light piece of furniture over it and found out the hard way that it is not! We had to go back and replace the rows that were scratched. Then we went to Home Depot and got chair protectors. Now that its done, I love it. It is so bright and professional looking. I haven't tried to clean it yet as the directions say to use "Allure" cleaning product. A great alternative to a one piece sheet vinly floor. I will assess wear and write another review later in the year.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by vas84 Nice looking waterproof flooring
We chose this flooring to span our back entry and small bath. The fact it is waterproof was the big selling point. We are normally real wood people, but just not practical in this space. This is a great compromise. Contractors had no problem with installation; we are satisfied with the look and ease of cleaning.
