Thank you for your question. Allure must be installed in a room where the temperature is between 65-85F (18-30C) during installation. After installation, temperatures should remain between 55F. and 85F. Failure to follow these guidelines will void the warranty.

The recommended temperature range during acclimation and install is between 65 and 85 degrees. The recommended temperature range post install is between 55 and 85 degrees. If the basement is not climate controlled to maintain this range then you may have problems.

This product is very durable and relatively easy to install. It looks great. I installed it in the bathroom and in a closet. Also as the liner in the bathroom cabinet.

I just installed this floor on my whole main floor. Took two weekends to do, but it was no problem! I love it and works great. I have three cats and three dogs. So far no scratches. Just a couple of hints for people looking at getting this product.
1. The instructions on the box say to start with the lower tongue out to insert into the previous piece. I learned doing it the other way (upper tongue inserting into lower for the next board) being ALOT easier, as it slides really well (right under the moulding for me so I hardly had to remove any!). It makes this so much quicker.
2. Scoring can be difficult. And if you have to cut a unique piece, it's possible but can be time consuming. A little hand saw, battery powered, made things a lot easier. Even with just scoring, it can create a deeper score so it makes it easier to snap, especially if you're only cutting off and inch or less.
3. Have a rubber mallet handy. It guarantees locking the pieces in for sure.
Other than that, I had no problem! Installed 20 plus boxes of it. And it's waterproof, which is great with the amount of animals in the house. I love it so much, it might be going into the bedrooms next!

I have hard wood floors in my room but had vinyl in my morning room. I wanted something that looked like hardwood but wasn't because ofthe traffic of pets and people that go outside and track dirt in from the morning room. I chose a similar pattern to my hardwood floors because it was going to be next to it. I could not be happier with the choice. It looks fabulous. Love it !!!

My floors look great. It was installed a few months ago. I installed this flooring in 2 bathrooms so I only had to put 2 pieces together as I worked my way across the room. The product is so thick that it is hard to cut. Scoring it with a sharp utility knife must be done several times to go deep enough for it to snap at the cut. I also used a jigsaw to make round cuts by the toilet flange. I tried an oscillating saw for the straight cuts and it works too. Pressing hard with the utility knife just made me nervous. I would buy this flooring again.

I read all the reviews about how easy this flooring is to install, but we had a lot of difficulty. One thing I should note is that most others describe a white mechanism that clicks into place. Our Allure Ultra flooring had a grey rubber attachment mechanism and did not click easily into place. I never had a single seam that clicked at all. For the most part, we were able to achieve good tight seams with considerable effort. But there were a couple of pieces that would not go into place, and the grey material shows between the seams. It takes a lot of very deep scoring to achieve a good clean break. And on longitudinal breaks, we laid the material over a broomstick and had to stomp on it. The final floor looks good, and we are happy with it even though it is not perfect.

We chose this flooring to span our back entry and small bath. The fact it is waterproof was the big selling point. We are normally real wood people, but just not practical in this space. This is a great compromise. Contractors had no problem with installation; we are satisfied with the look and ease of cleaning.

This was a beautiful floor that we finished in one day. I used all 14 boxes. It was tough at first to get the hang of how to install it, but it was easier as we went along. It took three of us, one with a background in building trades (he did all of the cuts and measuring! It went down nice and is beautiful and seems to be pretty durable. My cat tried to scratch it, there were no marks left.
