My son and I (Im 78 yrs old) put the flooring down in a 60 sq ft bathroom. The product is absolutely beautiful but because it is 5mm thick, you cannot just score it with a knife and snap it. After talking with staff at HomeDepot and considerable research, we ended up cutting it with my electric Skil laminate flooring saw. Because the floor behind the toilet area was ever so slightly warped and space to maneuver was cramped (to say the least), we had a problem attaching the planks to each other in that area. The underfloor really needs to be level!!
We plan to install the planking in another 23 sq ft bathroom. Love the product

I wouldn't say it was necessarily "easy" to install, but I got the hang of it after a while. There's not really a "click" when it snaps together - more like an soft vibration.
This floor fooled my sister into thinking it was real wood. The texture is great. It doesn't have the plasticky sound of laminate when you walk on it - it just has a soft thud/tap sound. I didn't level out my subfloor quite enough, but this floor went over it great anyway. We've had it for 8 months and it's in a high traffic room and it's held up perfectly. Looks good-as-new. It is just the beautiful modern/natural look I was hoping for. We're very pleased.

We installed the TrafficMaster Allure Ultra flooring in our downstairs powder room to replace the original hideous builder's linoleum. Once my husband removed the toilet & sink I proceeded to install the floor myself - it was very, very easy. While there were no instructions actually included in the box, I found two versions of a manual (one Home Depot's, the other the manufacturer's) online that had good tips. An extra tip that I found really helpful was to invest in a pair of snips - I used them to make an initial cut on the side of a plank before I snapped it. This was especially useful as my razor blade started to dull & did not score the plank as deeply. Other than that the installation was without incident - the product looks great, performed as touted, and hopefully proves to be durable. We chose this lighter shade of "wood" to go with the room's beachy feel, and were very happy with the coloring, faux grain texture, and variety of patterns. Overall would definitely recommend this to others.

We bought this flooring for our beach condo. It looks great with our casual furniture. We especially like it because we're on the 6th floor, and it's very quiet. It's a very attractive addition to our second home.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by DIYfer Great Product, Not an Easy Installation
I like to consider my self the average person who has done DIY projects in the past. It took 9 boxes to cover 130 Sqr Feet. I replaced the carpeting in the office with this product. Here are some tips for those thinking about doing this install in a finished home room.
1) Think about what you are going to do about the baseboards. The installation is very difficult with the baseboards on. We ended up putting a 1/4 round at the base to hide the gaps that are visible after the install.
2) Purchase more than you need. You will cut the board on the wrong side more than once and even the ones you do cut on the right side, they measure meant will be off.
3) Invest in Knee protection.
4) They say easy installation - sure if the room is perfectly right angled, and there are no notches for entryways vents or fireplace tiling on the floor.
5) buy extra blade for the utility knife.
6) Don't use a plastic right angle measuring tool. Use a metal one. I ended up with some nice cuts in the plastic one they recommended in their video.
7) Make sure there are no nails or uneven boards as this can damage the floor after installation. SO hammer and a chisel may be needed.
8) Note at first the floor will move around until you have a bout 5 layers of panels down, so don't worry, that is normal.
9) You will need a black and a rubber mallet because when you lock the boards in place, 9 times out of 10 they will not line up. It is important to make sure each row is perfect straight or your next rows will have trouble locking.
Lots of negatives, but the point is to show you its not as easy as they make it sound. Its a good product and makes the room look great. Took me the whole day for this project.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Ronnnn Not as easy as they lead you to believe
Just got back from HD. I had to order additional box of Allure Ultra. Box says easiest floor ever to install. I'd lol, but I am too disappointed and a bit angry. I have installed houses of laminate flooring. This stuff is much more difficult to install and damages during installation as easy a really cheap laminate flooring. I bought the $10 tapping block to assist in my install. The tapping block does assist in getting these hard to "just snaps in place" 4 foot strips joined. However, the tapping block has 2 sharp edges that if it slides a bit, will make a cut into the edge of the laminate. I lost 3 pieces due to this. That's $30. That's the angry part. If you are considering using this, be aware. The strips don't join up easily. It is a beautiful flooring. A pain to install.

My husband and I purchased this product for a much needed update of the builder installed vinyl sheet flooring in the kitchen and adjoining laundry room. We carefully measured and planned everything before we started and the two of us were able to get it done exactly as planned. These light color planks look very good and modern and make the kitchen and laundry room look bigger, brighter, and warmer.

The quality of this product is fantastic. The aspen oak white has a clean, formal, modern look. It does not have a plastic gloss at all. The photo provided by home depot makes it look a bit "grey" in parts, but it is not. The plank is unbreakable and very durable. It is 5 mm and very sturdy. For another room, I purchased another manufacturers' wood plank that they claim is 4 mm, and that is extremely flimsy compared to the Allure Ultra. I did not put an underlayment down, and that will be totally fine. My floor was generally smooth, but had not been "prepared". Once put down the Allure Ultra feels smooth and solid. It does take time to lay down. The key is to use make the seams tight! With that said, the thinner product may be easier to install time-wise.
