This was the flooring I settled on when looking for something for my bathroom that was waterproof, durable and did not require a contractor to install. Although pricey for plank flooring this particular color, texture and pattern of wood grain was very realistic looking so worth the cost in my opinion.
First off, I was able to install my entire floor by myself and am a 48 yo female with only minimal DIY experience. The other complaints about the locking grooves not working or being difficult I found were correct. It is not a piece of cake to get the planks to snap together correctly but once you get the hang of it there are small adjustments and tweaks you can do make the snapping process quicker and easier. If the planks pull apart at all that means they are not locked and DO NOT go any further until all previous planks are securely locked into place.
What I liked best about the planks is they are easy to trim and cut out shapes. Scoring the back and snapping along the cut is as easy as directions state. Trimming and shaping small pieces take a bit of work but using pliers to snap off small notches and cut outs makes the task easier. The finished floor looks fabulous. It's so nice and realistic looking I'm planning on doing my kitchen and hallways next.

My daughters and I laid this flooring about 2 years ago in the living room area. I LOVE how easily this cleans up and I receive a lot of compliments on it. We have 3 dogs and 3 cats. We live in the country. It is showing no signs of scratches or wear and tear. We do not drag furniture across the floor to be careful but otherwise are pretty tough on it. We recently had a whole house flood due to a dishwasher hose popping off. The clean up crew said all our flooring needed to come up to dry it out and prevent mold. But this flooring showed no damage. As I am beginning to look out there for flooring replacement and I keep coming back to this flooring for the durability, look and price. I think I may replace the majority of the floors with this. It was within our skill level to lay down, but due to knee arthritis I will have installed next time. Highly recommend it. I

I've installed other Allure floor systems with which i have been more than satisfied with. I thought that by up grading to a thicker floor material (not to mention a much higher price) that i would be getting an even better quality floor, not so. This floor did not go together well, after a few pieces i realized from milling there were small cuttings left in the groove that prohibted the the product to firmly set,so this ment clearing every piece. Also the durabilaty if the product is very poor, this floor showed signs of scratching within the first hour of use. I would not reccomend this this line allure to anyone.

I was satisfied with the looks of this floor. the installation is more difficult than peel and stick vinyl but not super difficult (the tile looking version is more difficult because it is shorter and more rigid). My husband and I installed 7 boxes in an evening. score and snap does work as easy as instructions say. my one concern is that after some time and use a few of my tiles seem to be pulling apart from each other. this could be because they weren't installed securely, or because they are laid on top of floor planks in a house that was built in 1901. Either way I pull up the quarter round on that side and can typically push the planks back together from the edge.

We selected this product because it was listed as water proof and commercial grade and we were putting it throughout the house including the bathroom. We were aware that it would possibly scratch and they were not wrong, a grain of sand is all that is needed to put a scratch in it, also a door sliding open does too. After about a year we noticed that the floor had two spots that were separating and cracking. Home Depot was contacted as we had it installed thru them, they contacted the manufacturer and they inspected it but the chipping(cracking) is NOT covered by the "LIFETIME WARRANTY", basically only color fading. Home Depot did send and individual out to replace the spots that were chipped as a courtesy but said it wouldn't do it again. Since then we have another place that is chipping in the kitchen. I am handicapped and I roll around in a desk chair on the floor and this is the only deviation from foot traffic so this product is not very sturdy. I would not recommend it for a high traffic area

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Amanda too expensive to look this cheap
We decided to finish our basement one project at a time, after 6 months we were fianlly ready to pick the floor. My husband and I researched for weeks before choosing this floor. It's water resistant and it needed no subfloor, so we would not loose any inches as we didn't want the basement to feel closed in. The floor took a long time to install, even after we got the hang of it and the finished product is okay, because it's just the basement floor, but I would not put this ANYWHERE else in my home. It looks so cheap, but at over 3 bucks a sq foot, IT'S NOT THAT CHEAP! The "embossing" adds a high shine to it, that looks really fake. Wishing that I had choosen the Kentucky Oak, I think the finish was a little more real looking. LIVE AND LEARN...

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Mitch Great product; buy online
I LOVE this flooring. We purchased this for our bathroom and I couldn't be more pleased with its durability and quality. The planks have grooves that make them look like real wood without the maintenance issues. We also have the Allure Resilient Dark Walnut Vinyl strip floor in our kitchen and this is a good color match with a far more realistic wood-like finish and feel. The only problem we had was trying to see a sample in the store. The online chat specialist had more information and was much more helpful in making the purchase decision than the in-store flooring department. Buy it online and save yourself the gas.
