I think only the larger HD stores have the samples and the display. Not sure if you can order them. My HD in Chesterfield MI had a large dislpay and all the samples. Maybe call a few or go to a larger HD in your area.

Also, I would like to know just how bad this floor scratches ?

Some of the reviewers have stated that it scratches easily. Do not want to waste time and money on this product if it does not live up to expectations that are stated on it.

I used this in a bedroom about a year ago and just did another room and it doesn’t scratch that easy. No easier than real wood or laminate. It did scratch a little but was easy to conceal with a brown marker. I use felt pads on chairs and other furniture to minimize the chance of it scratching. Overall, it’s pretty durable and has a good warranty.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It wasn't super easy to put together but wasn't bad.... It wasn't super easy to put together but wasn't bad. But looks great. It's scratch resistant is something time will tell. We did already scratch it because I dragged a tote across it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This stuff is awesome. We used Allure Ultra in our previous home, and went back for our current home's bathroom floor. With small kids, waterproof flooring is a no-brainer. We wanted something that reasonably matched the original hardwood flooring throughout the house. Does it look exactly like hardwood? Of course not, it's not a wood product. But it's close enough that it's not a distraction, and it gave us exactly the results we wanted. A super-durable floor that will survive my kids' hijinks until they're old enough to know better. :) Installation is as easy as a floor can be. Keep a sharp blade in your utility knife, and a pair of pliers or vice grips and a rag handy for snapping narrow lengths, and you're good to go. I used a little construction adhesive near the transition into the bathroom for insurance, but it likely wasn't necessary. And some brown caulk to hide some VERY minor gapping (no home is perfectly square, after all). Couldn't be happier with the result.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE THIS FLOOR!! I have three big dogs and was looking for a floor that was durable and looked great. I GOT IT!! I was going to install wood look tile in my great room when I came across this at HD. I loved the real wood look and all the choices. The fact that its 100% waterproof.... WHAT... NICE!! It was so easy to install and is not cold on your feet like tile . My dogs have been horse playing on it for two weeks now and not one scratch!! I never thought vinyl could be so nice. LOVE! LOVE! LOVE!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Kentucky Oak Allure We bought this from online pictures and found that customer reviews had the best pictures. We loved it in person. We had this installed by a flooring company in our new construction home. They said it was easy to install. We have only lived here for 3 weeks so I can not say how it holds up. We have already recommended it to a few friends. We love the appereance and so far has no marks from our 80lb dog, moving in or our kids wearing on it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from amazing product This product is incredible. We ordered one box of the Kentucky Oak and one of the Country Walnut to sample, and although another product was chosen, we were quite impressed with the look and quality of both of these. The Country Walnut, especially, looks like real wood. The Kentucky Oak has some sheen to it that takes away from the "real" look. But we were still leaning heavily in the direction of Allure simply because it is more water-resistant than typical laminates, and had a hard time deciding on what to use for this particular project. If Allure continues along the path of the "real" look, we'll look at it again for other projects.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Nice Looking Final Product We LOVE the final look of our kitchen, but installation was not nearly as easy as the sales associate at HD indicated it would be. For one thing, the floor comes without detailed installation instructions. Go to the internet to get precise instructions. Also, the flooring is VERY sturdy, which means you can't actually cut it with a utility knife. We used a power table saw and even though our kitchen is small (less than 60 sq. feet) we managed to dull one blade so badly we had to change it. The directions say to start on the left side. I think if you are left handed you might want to start on the right side. Because you don't glue it down you can easily correct mistakes (e.g., if you lay a board and it's not quite straight). When cutting, we found it helpful to mark cut lines (or "keep this side" notes) on the floor using regular blackboard chalk. The short pieces you're left with make excellent plant coasters. Instead of using 1/8 inch spaces at the wall edges, 1/8 to 1/4 inch scrap wood is much easier to control. Use knee pads or a gardening pad for crawling on the floor and have one person lay boards while the other cuts, but both confirm measurements. This was a GREAT alternative to sheet vinyl, since we couldn't install tile because of the existing cabinets. To bridge the slight gap between the kitchen floor and the (real) oak dining room floor, we used an oak door sill, which we stained to match the kitchen. (There are at least 3 different types of sills, so buy all 3, see which works best and return the others.)
