We had it done by a contractor. It takes 2 persons to install so the planks get tight and connected to each other. Itlooks great in our basement. Not too light, not too dark - warm. We had carpet and when they pull it out they found old linoleum underneath with many tiles missing so they had to be removed so to make the floor even for the vynil instalation because vynil planks do not require padding .

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Robert Looks fantastic in the home!
We didn't do the installation ourselves, but had Home Depot's contractor do it, so I have no idea about the difficulty in installation. Be that as it may, we are totally pleased with the appearance of this vinyl plank. It looks fantastic, and we couldn't be more pleased.

This oak vinyl plank flooring looks like wood but is water resistant. We are very pleased with the new look of our kitchen floor.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by HandyMom Looks great, easy to install
We put this product in our basement. Even though our basement is modern looking, we have an older house and liked the look of the wide boards, the golden color and the burl texture. It was very easy to install, don't pay someone else to do it, it's not worth it. Just score and break the planks. I had to score several times, my husband just once. We used a table saw for the long rips. Re-use your end plank at the start of the next row to reduce waste. This product was a bit more expensive than other brands, but when we brought samples home and compared, we liked it best - wider boards, thicker weight and nicer looking woodgrain. My only issue was that we had to wait almost two weeks for it to be delivered. Came on a truck and we had to store it in our garage and carry the boxes in - a pain, but still worth it.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Handyme Very easy to install with great results!
This floor gives beautiful, durable results and is very easy to install. I installed it in my main bathroom a little more than a year ago. I recently installed it in my basement bathroom over bare concrete and the transformation is just fabulous. This is very resilient flooring. My dog slides over it, but it never scratches. The locking system is great! Why mess with glue? The only thing I would caution about is that the underlying floor surface should be even. Unevenness will put stress on the locking edges and the result will not be perfect. This is not a product issue, it is a substrate issue. Although it is rather easy to cut out the planks for most contours, I found that cutting pieces under a few inches is challenging. If you can, plan your laytout to avoid having to do this.

My only complaint with these planks would be that some of the indentions in the texture are a little glossy which makes it look a bit like there is water drops on it. Other than that, the quality and color are great.

This 100% waterproof vinyl flooring looks great in the three rooms where I had it installed to replace carpet my four little rescue dogs had ruined.
I haven't had it long enough to tell how it will hold up, but the best thing about it is it's easy to clean.
Love the medium-shade color too since it's not so dark as to show dust or my dogs' shedding white hair. Real wood or laminate would never hold up to my little rescues' "accidents".
I had it professionally installed and installers said it takes a bit of wiggling to get the planks to click together properly. Had white vinyl 3/4 round strips installed between flooring and baseboard, giving the illusion that it's an extended baseboard. (Better than ripping out old baseboard and re-installing it or replacing it with new baseboard, plus the white vinyl trim is waterproof too.) Installers still need to install "reducer" trim (which is not offered by this Allure manufacturer) between existing hall tile and new Allure Ultra.
Even though the manufacturer does not offer trim, I do not see this as a negative since I believe it looks better to use the white vinyl 3/4" round trim near baseboard and real oak reducer trim stained to match the color of the vinyl planks. Real oak reducer trim enhances the illusion that the flooring is wood. With a few throw rugs, this flooring looks lovely and modern with its clean lines yet holds up to the frequent clean ups necessary with four little rescue dogs.
I love this flooring so much I'm planning to have it installed in my rental property so that I never have to replace carpet again!
