We purchased these and the putty colored ones to apply on an enclosed patio slab that had cracked substantially. I was very pleased with how adhesive these were. We struggled trying to get every little bit of the old carpet pad up. Inevitably there were little dust particles still stuck to the slab and we didn't want to buy an expensive liquid adhesive remover to scrape it all up. The patio is almost 500 square feet so something like that would have been expensive and incredibly time consuming. We finally just stuck these on and gave it a whirl (starting with a small corner right by the door where it would get the highest traffic). After a week of it not budging-even after one of our dogs tried to scratch it up several times-we finished the area. It went over the large crack much better than I had expected. Because of the pattern we did we really needed the lines to stay straight and I was worried going over the crack would mess it up, but it did not.
The product is very easy to clean as muddy paw prints just vacuum right out, with no scrubbing. However, and this is my fault, because we used them in such a high traffic area I might have splurged an extra $0.25 per square foot and found a tile that had specks of color. With these solid color tiles, especially these black ones, every little crumb and scrap show up. And since this is where we house our dogs and serves as our walkway from garage to kitchen, I vacuum these daily. The other issue I have is that they are so thin sometimes my vacuum brush just isn't getting low enough to really pull everything up. If you have a thin carpet setting on your vacuum that would help. But these aren't issues with the product so much as me not thinking about these things beforehand.
They look really nice and were an incredibly inexpensive solution to a potentially expensive problem at our place. I am very impressed for $1.00 per square foot!

I ordered ten cases to carpet my dedicated home theater room. I almost laughed when they arrived and I opened the first case. First, the description says they are .25" thick, not true, they are barely over a 1/16" thick. As a matter of fact, you can hold one of the tiles up to the light and actually SEE THROUGH IT! I am not kidding, see through carpet tiles. How long do you think these are going to last? Also, there is no backing, just the entangled fibers. Also, the glue on the back probably shouldn't even be there, I marked off my room and after laying two tiles I realized they weren't going to stick. Good news is that Home Depot offered a 90 return period and so I was able to get my money back. Don't waste your money or time.

Hello,,, I installed these in my basement -----Thank God for these--------the carpet stunk down there ---------pulled it out along with the padding-------there is just too much humidity down there so the carpet and padding stunk....................Now it smells great down there ------------also his carpet does not capture moisture so no moldy smell at all ever------------- You do need a square to check to see if your carpet tiles are square or you will have issues installing.....usually you will get 1 or 2 odd balls per box but you just save those and use them in close to the wall or something -------------------Peace out------------

I purchased and installed these tiles when my husband and I updated our small finished basement. The tiles are extremely thin, as mentioned in the product description, but they have held up very well over the past 6 months and I'm expecting that they will last for quite sometime before any need to be replaced. The tiles were extremely easy to cut and arrange. The only complaint I have is that if you leave anything even remotely heavy on them (a portable dehumidifier, for example) it will leave an indent. This is to be expected, though, from a tile this thin, and the marks do go away with time. The carpet is lovely, though, considering the price - I would definitely buy these tiles again if I needed to!

Let me start off first by saying that anyone giving this a bad review must not have viewed the full description. I received this carpet tile EXACTLY how it was described on the site and I couldn't be happier. It is exactly like I expected it to be. Incredibly easy to install and looks great. You do get what you pay for but this carpet is honestly a lot better than I expected it to be. Yes, its thin but its exactly how they describe it here. Just be smart and actually read the description before you buy it.

Excellent overall product. Don't expect it to be a plush carpet. Read the description and consider the price. Follow the installation instructions. I found cutting the tiles on a half sheet of quarter inch plywood greatly reduced dulling my cutting knife. BTW, I used a simple box cutter and a 24 inch T-square to cut the tiles. I used some spray contact glue on the tile backs where the tiles went around an edge and down the side of the patio.
The only short coming I found was that some of the tiles seemed to be slightly out of square. Could be just my measuring and cutting.
There is a softness when walking on the tiles as opposed to concrete. That is almost a luxurious feel! The project was well worth the effort.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Johnny One of the best investments I have made for my basement
I own a recording studio out of my home and had a living room style carpet for many years and it was wearing badly. I didn't feel like spending $700 for one small room so I stumbled on these carpet tiles and all I can say is wow. Super easy to lay down and it looks great. And since I roll around on a chair from console to console, the carpet holds up great.

We installed these in our basement apartment three years ago and they have held up incredibly. After a family renting for two years, a large dog, and a recent huge remodel and construction workers in and out, there is no sign of wear. Its amazing actually for the price. For how thin the tiles are they actually are soft under feet, keep the floor warm, and feel padded. Highly recommend.
