These are extremely thin tiles. If I had known, I would have just bought a comparable roll of carpet. With that said I am not disappointed in the quality of the product.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by cmh31909 Very flimsy, nothing like what we bought in store several years ago.
You used to could buy carpet in the store, now you can't, you must order it online. This is a huge mistake since you can't really see or touch what you are ordering. Had I been able to see this in person, I would never have bought it. Also, I had to go online to print out the instructions, they should have been included in the box. I'm glad I did that because apparently with this carpet, you have to orient each square a certain direction or you get a strange looking pattern/color. I did not have to do that with the carpet I bought years ago in the store.
Also, this item is not returnable, which is not very prominently displayed on the web page, it is hidden way down at the bottom.

A few years back I pulled up the carpet in my dining room after my cat had ruined it (on the days he didn't feel well, he would use that room to let me know!) I couldn't decide what to do for flooring...didn't have a ton of money to spend, had two animals, I knew tile would get really cold in that room, etc. So, I painted the sub-floor to look like Spanish tile. It looked awesome, but it was still only a sub-floor. Fast forward about five years later and I was really sick of the look and feel of that floor. I looked everywhere, Pinterest, etc. for a good, inexpensive alternative. Nothing looked easy enough for me to do by myself. I stumbled upon carpet tiles on the Home Depot website and knew that was the ticket. The room would feel warm and I could pull one of the tiles up and replace it if it got ruined. I ordered 7 boxes of the walnut color and they all looked great and of the same dye lot. They were incredibly easy to install. I just mopped the painted sub-floor and was done with a 12X16 room in about four hours. The tiles are pretty easy to cut with an Xacto knife and I found them to stick REALLY well. It's been two weeks and they haven't buckled anywhere and the corners are all stuck perfectly. I have vacuumed and it cleans up beautifully. Feels good underfoot, too. This is a fantastic solution for anyone that doesn't want to invest in carpet, tile or hardwood and has animals or little kids. The whole room cost me $270!

We finally replaced our,18yr old finished rec room in our basement.
We wanted to be able to,save, money , get a carpet product that was durable and sustainable and if damaged changed out.
This product, for all the marks. Yes you know, its carpet tike, not,the hobnob style is a great choice . Life,is decent and, easy to clean. Let me say I wish we did this sooner had we known our project would cost 675 bucks vs the 1300 We spent 18 yrs ago. If you want to replace and be sustainable This is it..they are made, from, recycled water bottles. It improved our rec room 1000 percent.
