It's entirely up to you to decide whether or not to use sanded or non-sanded grout at an 1/8" gap.
Personally, I prefer a non-sanded joint at this size, since it's easier to clean.

Hi LJprince,
You have a choice at that size of gap to use either sanded or non-sanded grout.
Personally, I like non-sanded grout, since it's easier to clean-up vs. sanded. But it's really a personal choice at the end of the day.

Those spots did not like the adhesive on these tiles as it was sandy and the sand would stick to the adhesive. I have read on multiple blogs that if you install it on concrete you want to use multiple coats of primer. The idea is that concrete sucks the moisture out of the adhesive and because concrete is abrasive and has small pebbles the adhesive itself might not stick. Kind of like a bandaid at the beach...if you get sand on it then it isn't going to stick as well. I'd probably recommend priming with floor paint to seal the concrete and then I'd think you'd be fine...hope this helps. Read Less

Answer:
You can install self stick tile on top of concrete but I do recommend checking the moisture levels
in the concrete prior to installing. if there is too much moistrue in the concrete I would recommend using a moisture proofer prior to installing the product. You can go to your local Home Depot and talk to an asssoicate in the flooring dept on how to do a basic moisture test.
I hope that helps-

Answer:
Hi there Julie,
You certainly can install this over concrete. Just like with any installation over concrete, ensure that the flooring is clean, level and free of moisture issues prior to installation. For added adhesion, you may also opt to use a bonding primer underneath the floor which will help your peel & stick tiles adhere to the porous surface. See the product recommendation below.

Can this be used to tile a fireplace hearth?

I am tiling the brick around my fireplace. I'm planning on using a glass mosaic tile on the vertical sections but thought about using this on the hearth since it would be easier to put down than ceramic tile. I will be doing all the leveling preparations but I'm wondering about the heat rating on this. We have a gas fireplace and we don't use it right now but I'm thinking about the future and resale.

This does not stick well to vertical surfaces. Even with a 4" height piece it kept falling after few hours of installation and I had to use a double sided acrylic adhesive tape that ultimately kept it stuck vertically.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Rental Redo I absolutely love my floors. I used these in a rental and did the living-room, kitchen, two baths and a utility for around $1,000. They look awesome. My only complaint SOME of the tiles were SUPER STICKY, almost gross. When I picked up my order from Home Depot I noticed there was two different color boxes, and the ones in the white boxes were SUPER STICKY the glue was all over the edges of very tile and it was a pain to lay the tile because the glue was so incredibly sticky we had to stop and and clean our hands repeatedly to TRY to get the glue off. It was really bad. Other than that. I love the look and the feel of the tile. September 6, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by So far so good We started installing this flooring in our kitchen last weekend and are every pleased so far. After tiling a bathroom in our house, we decided we didn't want to deal with the mess again and wanted something more durable. It's also a lot flatter than tile so it sits flush with our laminate flooring in teh rest of the house. The Ceramica floors are very easy and quick to install. We did get A LOT of the adhesive on our hands while installing (even though we tried our hardest not to), but used Goo Gone to remove it. We plan to install the rest of the flooring this weekend and grout it. Love them! August 31, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Really impressed with this tile! This tile is pretty amazing stuff. Nobody that I've talked with in any of the tile stores had ever heard of grouting vinyl and were all skeptical, am I ever glad I didn't listen to them! I laid in a good underlayment, the tile stuck great and zero issues. The grout went in really easy and wiped off with minimal hassle and no scratches to the tile. I've had multiple people not able to tell that this tile is vinyl and not ceramic. I'm really impressed so far. The hardest part is to ensure that your subfloor is level prior to installing to keep the lines as straight as possible. August 10, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice product at a good price point This tile was easy to install and worked well as a ceramic substitute since I didn't want to spend a ton on supplies and replace subflooring. About a month in now, and it is wearing well, including the grout. While looking at samples in the store, another customer/floor installer told me to use a VCT adhesive to ensure there was no peeling. I think that was good advice, although I have NOT installed with just the adhesive backing. I had to purchase a vinyl grout at a competitor because it was not available at HD, but the combination is great. Applying the VCT beforehand, this installation and grouting took approximately a workday for a 17x12 space. I haven't quite finished the kitchen, but I can follow up with final pics when I do. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love it! I bought this tile after reading reviews. We installed in our master bath over existing linoleum. I love how it came out. I would recommend this. September 6, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great looking tile for great price This simple to install peel and stick tile looks amazing in my kitchen. I get compliments on it all the time from new visitors. Very happy with this product and the price you can't beat it. March 29, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wonderful tile! Easy to install and looks fabulous. We are new homeowners and had not installed any type of tile previously. We bought the tile to install in a bathroom and utility room. The installation process went incredibly smoothly and quickly. We did run into a little issue in the utility room. The previous tile had some ridges and the vinyl tiles would not stick. We used Henry 356 Vinyl adhesive and it then stuck perfectly. We chose to grout the tile and did so with Delorean Grey Simple Grout. It looks great!! I would highly recommend this product. It looks just like real ceramic tile. April 2, 2016
