Customer Questions & Answers

What is the best way to cut it

Asked by: President
For straight cuts along the 24 inch direction, I use a cordless 5" circular saw set to 1/4 inch depth. I tossed together some wood for a jig that keeps the saw straight and on track during the cuts. For straight cuts in the 12 inch direction, I use my chop saw that can cut the full 12 inches in one pass. For more complicated cuts, like around door jambs, I use a power jig saw with a blade that has reverse teeth. The reverse teeth keeps the cut clean on the top side. If you don't have any of these power tools then you are back to the utility knife approach.

Is this product a self sticking tile or do you apply an adhesive?

The above is my question. TrafficMaster Ceramica reslient tile flooring. I was looking for other comments from custormers who have purchased this product and I don't see any comments on your website. Please provide custormer feed back.

I just put this in a laundry room, mudroom and master bath. It is peel and stick. I highly recommend using the Henry Bond Enhancer to prime the subfloor. The tiles really stick and are not easy to adjust so use spacers to align them before they hit the floor. I would definitely grout these for a completely waterproof floor. If you are not going to grout them, then don't use spacers and just align the tiles on one another. If you do that, the first tile sets the alignment for the whole room so its important to get than one right. the grout option is much more forgiving but more work. I think the payoff is worth it because it looks like a ceramic floor without the cold and hardness.

Color - Gray or Brown

I saw that this tile is available in 12x24 as well as 12x12. The comments for the 12x12 were that color was really a brown not gray. What about this 12x24? Is it gray to resemble concrete? Thanks.
Asked by: kt88
It's gray most definitely. There are small hints of brown and tan in the pattern.

12 in. x 24 in. Concrete Vinyl Tile Flooring (29 sq. ft. / case) is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 59.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from I would not recommend this product This flooring was the worst I've ever worked with and this was the third floor that I've laid. The tiles were all stuck together when I opened the box. Glue was seeping out of each tile. My hands were constantly covered in glue making it extremely difficult to work.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Looks nothing like pics I have been looking for a gray floor for my kitchen...this looked like the 'one'...when I received the flooring, it was more like off white/cream with gray & tan specs...almost like stone...not my taste at all.

Installed this product in my kitchen, laundry, and part of my family room entrance and has been installed since October 2016. This product looks good when the edges were able to be butted up tightly. The flooring I received had so much excessive glue on the edges that it became was very difficult to pull apart. In addition the glue was so plentiful that it actually prevented the tiles from being pushed together tightly. If I could have had all the edges butted up tightly the floor would have looked fantastic. As it is currently I used a floor tile colored caulk to fill in the gaps that remained. I am continually wiping down the seams with mineral spirits where the glue is oozing up and I am still tracking glue onto my carpets.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Clark Griswold I like the look of the product. However the box I got must have baked in a trailer in Texas for a year. The glue oozed out the edge and coated all the separator sheets. Had to ply them apart, and the paper did not come off in one piece, some took up to 20 minutes to completely remove! And the adhesive, omg! Have some gas handy. I think I still have some on my hands. Felt like I was Clark Griswold in Xmas vacation reading the magazine w the tree sap on his hands.

We're renovating a 1930s farmhouse on a non-existent budget and after looking into all flooring options for the hallway and bath, we went with these TrafficMASTER Ceramica tiles in CONCRETE. Let me just say, I love the look of them. They have light to medium grey tones (maybe even our fave modern "greige"!?!) and are not as stripey as shown in the original listing photo, which I am very happy about. I was on the fence between these and the Coastal Grey color, but figured the lighter of the two would work better in the small space. The logistics of install are somewhat daunting with all the sticky self-adhesive, so I'm going with four stars for now. I'll update when this project is checked off the list! For reference, the photos I've attached were taken with an iphone in a small bathroom with a single incandescent bulb light fixture.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Defective These tiles have excess glue that seeps out especially on those tiles on the bottom of the stack. Trying to lay them down creates a huge mess and makes it impossible to apply the optional grout. Will add many hours on to the installation job

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! I could not be happier with this tile! We replace old, dingy linoleum in our kitchen and laundry room. Installation was very easy and we chose to grout with 1/8 spacer. I would definitely recommend grouting because I feel like it pulls the whole look together. My husband was skeptical of the color at first but after getting it all put down and grouted, he agrees that we made the right choice! We have gotten tons of compliments on it so far and my mother in law actually wants to pull up her porcelain tile and replace it with this! I would most definitely recommend this product, it's beautiful, easy, and budget friendly :)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Looks great, easy install. Worried about wear I want to make this concise and to the point, but I want you to know I also put a lot of stock in reviews. My wife and I bought this, with heavy influence from the reviews of others on here. Positives. It looks great, there is no getting around that. We couldn’t be happier with how it looks. We took two different colors of this same brand with the bulk being the concrete color and a few darker pieces sprinkled in for variety. Laying the flooring was a breeze, we had no issue with adhesion but we did take time to prep the floor. We ripped out all the old flooring and then installed a new ¼ plywood base. A single coat of the recommended primer was applied after that. The tiles stuck like glue. We put down the wrong color once during the install and had to really work to get it up. We actually ended up destroying that tile in the process, it was so glued down. We used a vinyl tile cutter for the nice long straight cuts and that significantly reduced our install time-highly recommend that to others. For the multi cuts on a single piece the utility knife and straight edge proved sufficient. Value was good for the money and we are happy with what we paid and how it looks. Negatives. There is only one negative, but it was a major issue after install and that has to do with scratches on the flooring. We used the recommended grout and in the process of putting that in, the sand in the mix did scrape the finish off various pieces on the floor as the float would go over the grout lines at the 45 degrees and onto the tile. That was a huge disappointment. I have no idea how it will stand up to the kids we have if that scratched it, but we are worried. I’ve grouted floors before and never had this issue of the grout actually eating away at the finish layer. Again, it was just 5 pieces out of the whole lot, but to spend that much time ripping out the old floor, installing a new subfloor and getting the tiles laid down only to have a few pieces already suffering finish damage was just disheartening. If the rest of the floor holds up, we will live with the scratches, but we are very worried about how much wear this floor will be able to take. Believe me, we are hoping it holds up.
