I ordered an individual 12x12 sample online to see the color, but later noticed my local HD had the 12x12 so I could be sure of true colors.

How many tiles in a package before the pattern repeats?

We saw TrafficMaster Ceramica Concrete & Roman Travertine Beige 12x24 on display in a HD store and I've read all the reviews here but no one has mentioned pattern repeat. This seems to be exactly the product we are looking for. Out of the 15 tiles per case, how many are the same pattern?

Although true the patterns do not "exactly repeat," many of the tile patterns are so similar (e.g., often just over two inches horizontal offset relative to other tile patterns in the same box) you will definitely want to lay them out (with all the arrows pointing the same direction on the paper backing), then stack the similar tiles on top of each other (into sorting piles) so you can purposefully avoid Read More
Although true the patterns do not "exactly repeat," many of the tile patterns are so similar (e.g., often just over two inches horizontal offset relative to other tile patterns in the same box) you will definitely want to lay them out (with all the arrows pointing the same direction on the paper backing), then stack the similar tiles on top of each other (into sorting piles) so you can purposefully avoid repeating patterns adjacent to each other. I ordered eight boxes of 15 each 12 x 24 tile, and found typically about nine obviously different patterns in a box of 15, meaning I would have nine stacks (sorting piles) from one box, and the other six tile were very similar (near duplicates) which I stacked in one of the nine piles (patterns) to help avoid nearby repeating tile patterns. In general there are enough different tile patterns to make any small or large tiled floor look interesting, but you WILL want to pay attention to the repeating tile patterns. See attached photo. That's a good question I don't think any one wants to find out, LOL. Not to poke fun of your question because its very good one. What do to avoid a pattern appearing is open a few boxes at once and shuffle them around like a deck of cards.

Thank you for your interest in the TrafficMaster Ceramica Resilient Vinyl Tile in Roman Travertine Beige. There is no true repeating pattern due to the way the pattern is re-orientated around during production.

Can this product be installed flush without using grout? My old basement is not square and I don't want grout lines to emphasis the imperfections.

Answer:
On an 1800 sq ft house we added the Fusion Tobacco brown colored grout. This was to make sure the floor was water tight and gave us some leeway on tile placement. The math seemed to work well with the 3/16 spacers. The lines may actually help it looked more square.

Yes, it can be installed without grout, but the grout I chose blends in very well with the tile, and may actually help hide the imperfection of not being square.

Answer:
If it is smooth and in good shape, it shouldn't have a problem staying down. If it's very porous, You may need to roll on some Henry's adhesive sealant for vinyl flooring.

Like i have said to many others, Your job will only be as good as your prep work. I recommend an underlayment allmost all of the time. Follow the directions for priming new wood if you choose to use underlayment.

Answer:
Hello blondie and thank you for your question.
This is a self-stick vinyl tile. Using an underlayment will void the warranty. You can install over the pine flooring as long as the surface is smooth, dry, solid and has no deflection.
Best wishes on your project.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by I had carpet in my den that was overdue for replacement. I wanted a floor I could clean easily and comfortable under my feet. After much prep work of slab, (don't scrimp on preparing the subfloor), the laying of the tiles and grouting took me several days for the 14x20 room but was well worth it!! I used the Henry's tile primer which seemed to increase bonding so be careful , they don't come up easily if you need to reposition one. The tiles are not flimsy, but easy to cut with utility knife . They include installation instructions when order is placed online so I could start prepping floor while order shipped. Pleased with variety of patterns on tile. It's been 2 weeks since completion.I think they look great with the grout. So pleased with the results! October 25, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good for the whole house We installed every where and works well. It doesn't like to be scrapped with anything sharp but it's easy to remove and replace individual tiles. Better than other vinyl tile or laminate flooring. Key things to remember is to spend time prepping the sub flooring. Need it clean and smooth. If porous like cement, use Henry's sealer for vinyl adhesive. Also, don't go overboard with spreading grout. It wants to stick to the surface of the tile. If some is dried on, use Scott nylon scrubbing pad/sponges with an ammonia based cleaner. I used 3/16 in spacers for the grout lines. May 17, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great product! This was our second project with these tiles, this time in a rental bathroom. I installed and grouted them (about 40' sq.) in about 4 hrs..... this with only 5 tile without cuts. I really love these tiles!!! September 27, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Love the look, I have received plenty of compliments. People do not believe this a vinyl flooring product. I used this product with grout in my kitchen (275sq ft) The end result was a great looking floor! I did follow the manufactures instructions and used the adhesive primer. There are a just few "popping" noises from the tile, that may be the uneven subfloor as the house was built in the 70's. With this particular style you need to remove the haze from the grout immediately, as I spent 3 hours with a razor blade scrapping off the residue the next day. I purchased the Camel style tiles awhile back for my bathroom & installed with a grout line. The Camel tiles were much easier to clean up after the grout. Definitely a different product, even thou the same manufacturer (I used the same grout manufacturer). I would continue to use this line of products, can't beat the stone look at this price! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great tile Everyone that comes in thinks it is real ceramic tile! I love it and the way it looks. May 17, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by The Best of Both Worlds I put this down right over old vinyl in a bathroom. It laid easily, the adhesive sticks very tight and is was fairly easy to cut- with a VERY SHARP knife. I think grouting it made all the difference in looking like "real" tile vs. stick on tiles. It totally upgraded the look of the bathroom for less than 50 bucks. February 4, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very nice I was a flooring installer for 25 years so installation was a breeze and should be fairly simple for anyone with basic DIY skills. I would recommend if you're using grout, cut the spacers into "T" shapes ahead of time because you'll be staggering the joints and + shapes won't work (I used a scissors. This will save you time and frustration from doing it as you go. The quality of the tile seems excellent as well as the adhesion of the glue. I installed mine over new 5 mm exterior grade Luan underlayment and had no problems. I used the recommended pre-mixed grout (color was LINEN) and it was easy and straight forward. If you want to see any of the tile available "online only" you can visit a Home Depot and there are samples of the "online only/special order" tile in the Tile aisles. February 26, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Absolutely stunning, with the look of procelain and / or marble! LOVE, love LOVE it!! We could not be happier with our purchase! Not your typical "peel and stick" tile - this product is amazing!! Our home is an older home with balloon-type construction. Because of this, ceramic tile is not recommended due to the added weight on the floor joists and would cause joists to bow/sag (which would cause the grout to constantly crack). Floating floor was about our only option, but we were very concerned with the quality should the product be exposed to possible water spills or drips, not to mention we could not find a color match for our décor or cabinets. Extremely happy with the quality of this product - the guarantee is amazing and unbeatable! The install was a dream and I HIGHLY recommend this product. Elegant look and has the appearance of porcelain or marble! September 30, 2015
