Answer:
Buy 16 cartons this should give you plenty to cover waste. You might have 1 carton left over you can always take it back or keep should repairs be needed in the future

Answer:
Each box covers approximately 24 sq ft. Your room is 182 square feet. That would be 7.6 boxes. You should add at least 10-15% beyond your actual sq ft. Always buy more than you need. Home Depot is very good about returning your unused stock.

I would estimate around 7 1/2 boxes per room but I'd add about 10% more for mistakes and cuts. So 16-17 boxes.
Good luck!

Your rooms 13x14 = 182 SqFt each room, that will be a total of 364 SqFt. Each box covers 24,24 SqFT 364 ÷ 24.24 = 15 boxes but I would buy an extra box (16 total) just in case, to not have to go to the store just for a couple of pieces if you are short due to cuts and damaged pieces. Good luck, and be shure to read the instruction carefully, and watch a few videos on you tube before you start.

There as I read is 24 square feet in a box. Each one of your rooms have 182 square feet per room. Keep in mind that you must allow for some waste and drop offs once you start.
On this figure each room will take about 8 boxes as there is going to be some waste, You may want to purchace 18 boxes as there may be damaged pieces in a box. (You can always return what you do not use).

Hi Katjg,
14 x 14 equals 196 square feet, each box covers 24 square feet so you'll need 9 boxes.
8 boxes of flooring plus an extra box to cover, damage, unusual cuts and for spare pieces.

Rated 3.4 out of 5 by 35 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Hard (almost impossible) to install, falls apart. Do not buy this product. Spend the extra $0.11 a square foot and buy the Lake Shore Pecan. The Pecan has an entirely different install procedure. I previously installed 1200 sq ft of the pecan in about 6 hours with one person cutting the other setting. I purchased this for a room we needed flooring in wanted to go as cheap as possible thinking it was the same install procedure. With the pecan you click the long edge in, line up your end and give it a couple taps with the rubber mallet and its in. As long as you keep your edges straight you can put it in faster than they can hand you boards. This Gladstone oak makes you lock in the ends first which causes you to try to lock in a whole row at once (nearly impossible), trying to tap it in only results in it disintegrating. It took me 3 hours to do about 4 rows. I ripped it all back up, returned it and bought the Lake Shore Pecan. I had it all 850 sq ft installed in 5 hours. Trust me on this if you want an inexpensive laminate by the Lake Shore Pecan. The best use for Gladstone Oak is the fire pit. Word of caution, make sure you get all the cases off the same pallet otherwise there can be some extreme color variations. August 15, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by I swear by Traffic Master I bought A Traffic Master product 9 years ago to replace the carpeting in our basement family room which was formerly my wife's daycare center. Needless to say between that , two dogs and a cat we did not want another carpet. The laminate is still in beautiful condition except where my daughter and her friends decided to hang a piñata and in smashing it they kicked a de- humidifier which splashed a considerable amount of water on the floor. Once I wet-vacced it up and ran the de-humidifier the flooring actually returned to a decent condition. 6 years ago I installed it in my daughters bed room she is rough on flooring, totally wore out a huge circle in the old carpeting from spin dancing. The laminate still looks like the day I installed it. I just bought the Gladstone yesterday, and agree with another reviewer here the web picture does not resemble the color at all, its actually a reddish oak color, the install was easy, although instructions say don't tap the product to install. It is necessary as we have convectors for heat and to get planks under them I used scrap boards with a rubber mallet with no issues. I gave this review a good only because the Gladstone is a couple MM's thinner than the other products I installed and am hoping it will hold up as well as they did. July 3, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by now i know! After installing a dozen pergo floors, i figured out trafficmaster. I, like everyone else tried tapping in the edges. It doesnt work. On these, you click the two ends first then lock it to the existing row. I did the same thing locking a whole row and then connecting it. Not easy by yourself. lock ends first, then a little tap and it goes right in. actually much easier than the pergos August 2, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Okay quality, great price, wrong instructions Looksfine but the joint flanges are easily damaged during installation. The instructions say for each plank to join the short end, then join the long ends before moving on to the next plank. That doesn't work. For each row join all the short ends then join the long ends Crazy but it works April 30, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Difficult to install because of end and edge interlocking design I have installed many laminate floors. This design was very difficult to install. At first I laughed at the other "difficult to install" reviews but having completed my first room with this product, I'm fully on board with the reviewers. The design requires first interlocking plank ends and then persuading the long edge to interlock with the previously installed row. Doing so requires a lot of board wrestling and requires moving neighboring planks from the previous fully installed location. Installing this flooring will likely take 3 times longer than other laminates with the "align the long edge, lower and simply pop the end" design. You WILL have to use a tapping block to install this, be careful not to ruin edges. Because of the design, working around door molding under-cuts, etc. is extremely difficult. Looks great when done. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by TrafficMaster laminate Looks beautiful! Not the color that shows on HomeDepot website is more like the trim colors shown though (Gladstone Oak) My installer had no problems with installation. His technique looked quite reasonable by snapping end to end while total length is set in an upward angle, if that helps anyone! April 1, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent price. Looks really nice after installation. Has high end "fake wood floor" look to it. Was a bit harder to install than more expensive flooring, but laid an unopened flooring box diagonal across board just installed to prevent separating it from its locked groove when installing the next board. Looks awesome and several customers were very impressed with it. I told no-one I paid $.68 per square foot. Damaged one board with the install tool slipping off edge but was able to use it as a started board by cutting off the damaged end. Used the cut piece from the end of one run to start the next. Seams are hard to see as it snapped together nice and tight. I did use the installation tool on 2 pieces that were close to the wall and hard to get much swing from palm of my hand to snap together. Took longer to remove, trim and replace molding around doors than to install 250+ sq. ft. flooring. I bought enough for 2 more install jobs. Far easier than laying carpet and cleans up nice. Hope to get several years use from it. March 12, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Gladstone Oak Its a looking floor just a bit hard to install . This flooring would be great for rentals and use floor muffler it makes a difference. February 11, 2015
