Customer Questions & Answers

how many tiles do i need for a room 30x10

tiles are 12x12. how many boxes do i need
Asked by: Anonymous
From the information given it sounds like you will need 300 square feet. if the box contains 30 you will need 10 boxes. Always purchase at least 5 extra tiles as replacements for worn or damaged tiles in the future. Consider an adhesive made for vinyl tile. It will improve the durability.

Can I use spacers and add grout lines in between these tiles so it looks more like ceramic tile?

Asked by: DIYer
Thank you for your question. This floor should not be grouted.

Should a sealer be used to ensure dirt doesn't get in between tile edges? If so, what kind of sealer?

Asked by: MJV100
Hey MJV100, There really isn't a 'sealer' that will prevent dirt from getting in between the edges. The key to making sure no dirt gets in between is making sure the tiles are installed properly over a clean and level existing subfloor. Joseph

Premium 12 in. x 12 in. Tan Marble Vinyl Tile is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from looks like real marble I replaced the worn faux marble tiles in front of my fireplace in my duplex built in 1930. These tiles are an excellent thickness. Much more substantial than some of the peel and stick tiles at other similar stores. I used a vinyl adhesive with a simple grooved adhesive spreader for tile. All were reasonably priced and available at Home Depot. It looks great. I'm now doing my entry way and hall in time for the holidays.
