Area rug slips on the gripper pad. Tried both sides of the pad without a difference. Had to buy some two sided tape to keep it from sliding and us with it!

It slips a lot! Does not keep the area rug in place. I even tried both sides.

Highly recommend buying this more expensive non-slip pad. The lighter weight products move around and wrinkle. This stays put and keeps the rug from crawling.

Placed under a heavy rug to prevent creeping and it does just that.

This was my second purchase of this particular brand and type of area rug pad. It is as nice as the first one and worked out beautifully. I have real wood floors and these are the best pads to provide the non-slip aspect and also protect the lovely floors. I would purchase this product again, if needed.

I have hardwood floors. The throw rug at the front door slides easily. I placed this under it to prevent the sliding. It works well at this task. The only time the rug moves is when my cat uses it to make a 90 degree turn when running down the steps to my front door. (He used to pile the rug up against the door before I placed the gripper pad under it.)

This gripper pad work well under my dining room rug and gives the rug a little extra cushion. My rug does not have a stiff backing so this pad helps hold the rug in place and prevents it from bunching up. One disappointment is that the pad is actually smaller than the advertised dimensions of 5 x 8 feet. It is actually 4 ft 5 in. x 7 ft. which is a pretty significant difference. Luckily, it works OK under my rug.
