Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by JSRinAZ permanently marked our slate floor
These waffle-like rug pads are made of some sort of rubber-like product which can permanently stain certain kinds of floors with little checkerboard marks. Our new slate floor, even though we sealed it, was stained permanently by one of these gripper pads under a rug. We've tried every cleaner imaginable, and though mineral spirits worked okay, we will probably have to use barkeepers friend and then re-seal the floor. I guess we're lucky the stain will at least be under the rug. Avoid these if you have a stone floor.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by pepace Nonslip rug pad--great! 3rd one for another space
It goes under the rug, so all I can say about the appearance is that it appears well-made prior to being covered up by the rug! I've had these before and purchased this to go under a large area rug we put on top of our newly-installed Pergo laminate floors. The flooring and installation by Home Depot were also 5 stars, by the way!!!

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by ES98632 Its just cabinet liner
This stuff does do a great job, but it is just cabinet liner. You could just use that instead and save a ton. The price is just to high when you van get similar at dollar stores.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by controlsguy Warning - Possible Flooring Damage
Easy to install, worked great for keeping the rug in place. However, in only 6-months time on a hard floor the entire gripper pad has decomposed and is now sticking to the floor in thousands of foam dots. The dots do not come up easily with warm water and a scrubber sponge. This is going to take hours to remove. Either the labeling is not clear what types of flooring and conditions are okay for use or it's a defective design, either way it's definitely not worth the risk. Not looking forward to hours cleaning the floor off and then paying another $50 for a product that is actually stable for use on all flooring types. Looks like this product needs a re-design or just steer clear and buy another product that is clearly labeled.
