Standard 100 sq. ft. Rolls 25 ft. x 4 ft. x .080 in. Polyethylene Foam 2-in-1 Underlayment is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 320.

I was putting down a floating floor on concrete a few months ago and wanted to ensure moisture would impact the floor performance (warp, sweat, etc) and still provide some level of insulation. This product installed easy and provided a good barrier between the floor and concrete to the effect that when the temp was below freezing outside my floor was not super cold to the touch as I imaged it might. Only negative I found was the clear plastic designed for overlay was not always 4+inches as the instructions say are required for over lapping so at times it could create mini humps due to overlapping. Overall pleased and would recommend product to a friend.

Added this to cement floor to prevent moisture and level uneven floor from glue from prior carpet before installing laminate. Laminate already had a thin cushion underpayment on the plank and was worried it would be to thick or bouncy but after installation, it was not noticeable. Highly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good stuff Easy to put down. We wanted to buy the thicker stuff but didn't because this underpayment was the perfect thickness to even out two areas. I am so happy with the floors and the underpayment is just fine. Feels cushiony without being soft. I think the thick stuff would have been too much.

It was kind of difficult to seam and stick together. I had to use some of my clear tape on the top of the seams to make sure they stayed together.

I wish the tape they use to keep the underlayment rolled up didn't restrict the material from unrolling entirely flat. That's the only down side of the product. --On this particular purchase (which is the second project where I've used this particular underlayment), one of the rolls was damaged/defective--the outer layers seemed to be fused together or melted so that I had to cut through a few of the outer layers to get the roll to begin unrolling, and consequently had to waste about a yard of the material which was disappointing.

Yes, there are more expensive underlayment materials, but the point is that this does what it is designed to do. It allows the laminate flooring to "float" on a layer of smooth plastic sheeting that has foam. I think this will help some with insulation some too. More expensive rolls would no doubt reduce noise a bit, maybe add a little more insulation as well, but this is the least expensive option, and is easy to work with. $25 or so per roll - next step up is about double that.
