Aqua Armor 16 oz. Fabric Waterproofing Spray for Natural Clothing is rated 3.7 out of 5 by 15.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Great I tested this out first on a piece of cotton rag. I sprayed both sides then dried it in the dryer as per the instructions. I repeated this once to give it a second coat. I then held it under running water in the sink. It took a good 60 seconds of constant pouring water before some drops started to come through. I think that's pretty amazing for cotton. It would certainly make fabrics waterproof enough for rain or splash. I have since used it on a pair of jeans that I use for motorcycle riding. When I get caught in the rain, they keep me dry until I can get to cover. It also did not affect the color of anything I sprayed it on. A few things to keep in mind: It has a very strong smell when you first spray it, but once it dries it is odorless. With 2 coats it will stiffen the material slightly. This spray is only for natural fabrics like cotton and canvas - you cannot use it on nylon/synthetic stuff like backpacks, tents, raincoats, etc.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Promising After some trial and error, the best advice I can give is to apply it heavily, not just liberally, and follow the directions to heat set the product. Focus on the areas most likely to receive heavy moisture. For me, I treated two pairs of jeans for motorcycle riding, so I focused most intently on the thighs and knees. And for coats, start with the thickest spray on the shoulders and upper back. You'll want to apply it everywhere, thickly, but stick with this advice on the most rain-prone areas and don't skimp on the heat treatment. It won't make cotton clothes suddenly ready for a deluge, but it was effective enough on jeans for riding that we got another bottle.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Good Product I used this product on my favorite army jacket. I gave it 2 coats and really sprayed the seams. I have used the jacket in a few rain showers and so far I'm still dry. I.m pleased with the results. The instructions are simple and to the point. I couldn't say how long it will last but I still have spray left to re apply if need be.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Great! Applied the spray to an old denim work jacket and wore it in the recent rain. It worked great and as the water just rolled off the jacket. Worked like a gortex jacket. I do not write review but this deserved it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked good on my Carhartt coat. Used to treat my 10 year old hooded, waist length, cotton shell jacket (XXL). Jacket absorbed product rapidly, and I started running short with my 16 oz. bottle. Finished the bottom of my jacket with a lighter mist. Got the important hood, shoulders and sleeves really saturated with the Aqua Armor and the jacket repels water very well. Next time I will buy the 32 oz. bottle and have some left for something else.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Timely delivery to store This was a great way to order a specialty product and picked it up. The waterproofing spray is excellent.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Repels water. Easy to use, but second application was required. I applied Trek7 Aqua Armor to a cotton baseball cap and a jacket that had lost its ability to repel water. In the bottle, the product has a faint scent of isopropyl alcohol, but the scent isn’t present during or after application. The instructions on the side of the bottle state the 16 fl. oz. bottle will treat 80 sq. ft. of fabric, but doesn’t indicate how much product to use on fabrics, so I saturated the hat and jacket with product until they wet throughout. I applied the product outdoors as per the instructions and then allowed the items to rest for about 30 minutes, to allow the product to be evenly absorbed, before tossing the damp items into the dryer. Alternatively, you can allow the product to air dry or use an iron at a high-heat setting, which the instructions state will provide the best result. After tumbling around for ten minutes in a hot dryer, I removed the cap and jacket. The color of the items was normal; not darkened, faded or discolored by the product, and while they did repel water, the repellency was spotty, so a second application was needed. It was obvious the product worked to repel water as the items didn’t absorb the product as quickly during the second application as the first. I like that this product comes in a spray bottle, is quick and easy to apply; just spray it on, doesn’t harm or change the color of fabrics, and is virtually odor-free. Aqua Armor works as well or better than other water-repellency products I’ve used, and is simialrly priced, but requires far less time and effort to apply.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does the job nicely Now, keep in mind that this will not turn your clothing into a rubber rain suit, but it did keep my suede shoes and pant legs dry while walking through the early morning dew. It also helps when i am riding my motorcycle during the rainy season. I do not keep totally dry, but I am not real wet, either! the fact that it comes in a spray bottle that can be easily packed in a saddle bag is nice, too. I will keep this handy during my cross-country motorcycle trips!
