This would be a lot better if the light automatically came on when it gets dark...like even the cheapest walkway lights do. I bought these because they were prettier and, I was hoping, better quality. However, I have to go outside each night and manually turn the switch off and then back on, which is rather annoying. No idea why there's even an on/off switch on a product with both a solar cell and darkness sensor.
That said, when it IS on, it's very pretty.

Love this light. Must get enough light during day for lovely glow at night. Excellent packaging. Great customer service. One stopped working after 3 days and received immediate replacement. No other problems after that.

These lights are attractive in the yard after dusk. (They add nice color but are not bright enough to light a path.) They value is excellent since the recent price drop.
THE AUTO ON/OFF WORKS PERFECTLY. Just leave the switch in the on position, and a light sensor does the rest.

I first bought six of these for my little "Roman" garden that I thought needed something special, not just some tacky plastic solar lights. When I first received the lights, I didn't know if I would like the "speckled" effect of the egg; I thought they would be more solid blue. The first night in the garden, the lights came on with just a few hours of sun-charging, and they looked lovely. No problems with the auto-on feature and the "speckled" effect is quite nice.
A few weeks later, our 100 lb. dog crashed into one of the lights at a full gallop, flattened the light and the top of the light popped off - I thought it was ruined. Since the glass "egg" didn't break and the stick wasn't bent, I put it back together, stood it back up and, at sundown, it came on, no worse for wear. The daily rain showers and my sprinklers don't seem to affect the lights at all - they come on everyday like clockwork and off at sunrise.
The dog crashing incident got me to thinking about how much I liked these, so I went back to Home Depot and bought six more, to keep in reserve for replacements if needed. I like them that much.
