Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by STATE I love my door from Trento Doors
I purchased a Trento Door thru Home Depot and it is actually more beautiful than it's picture This door is massive. I love the workmanship, and the ability to open the inner glass for airflow throughout my house. The door is regal. More importantly I am forever grateful for the Mfg of this door. I contacted them to get some information and was surprised at the level of service and support I received. Once I received the door my contractor informed me that the locking system I purchased was not the correct size/dimension needed to fit the door. I called Trento Doors and they immediately sent one of their employees out to my home with the correct locking system to properly fit the door. Not only did they deliver the correct lock, but their employee also installed the lock and made other minor adjustments for me. They only charged me for the lock and did not charge me for the time and labor expended for this service. I am so pleased with Trento Doors. Sincerely, S. Tate

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by ProudArmyDadx2 THIS ONE WAS A FACTORY DISASTER...
I'm guessing that the door unit that my customer received is probably not the norm for this manufacturer, but the list of defects I encountered when I uncrated the doors and frame, is something that I have never encountered in my 30 plus years as a carpenter.
I took pictures of everything I found to be shotty workmanship, and offered to send them to the company in email attachments so they could see all of the issues for themselves. Instead, they just sent back an email denying the customers request to have the unit replaced.
Here is a list of what was wrong with the Trento Wrought Iron French Door Unit:
> What looks like a grey colored epoxy on one doors exterior approximately 3" x 5" area.
> Multiple circular water-stain looking spots in multiple areas on both doors that won't wash off.
> Oiled Bronze finish has some chips to the metal.
> The Dummy Door upper latch pin assembly needed to be taken out and assembled properly because the recessed lever wouldn't fit in the pockets.
> There was about a 14" open void on one of the doors exterior corners that didn't get welded shut, allowing water to get inside the door when it rains and possibly freezing in the winter.
> The upper hinge pins were an inch different from top of jam down, so when the frame was put in the opening all squared up, the dummy door had a half inch gap at the top and the functioning door hit the top frame. Due to that this steel frame does not have much give to it, the mortises for the lock hardware had to be modified considerably, using a carbide bits, a dremmel, and screw taps. The top of the doors are not in line with each other because of the hinges, and looks really bad.
> There were no bottom door sweeps included to seal up the 5/8" gap on the bottom of the frame, and you can see daylight through the center weatherstrip when the doors are closed.
> Then there is the multiple scuffs, scrapes and deep gouges in the metal frame and finish. This looks like it was caused by the forks from a forklift when it was loaded, unloaded or both.
I am hoping that the company will change their decision and do the right thing for the customer. If you pay over $3,200.00 for a Custom Entry Door, you would expect it to have quality manufacturing put into it. Plus there was the Installation Cost on top of the cost of the Door Unit.
I am including some of the pictures that I took and feel free to comment on what you think about the situation.

Took 2 contractors including a wrought iron manufacturer, 3 hardware store assistances and lots of jury rigging. Doors still don't line up but finally got specially purchased door knobs/bolt locks working and the bottom door pin for stationary door working, and most of the gaps to the outside closed up. Doors do not line up and still have a gap under the door that is higher, even after purchasing a new door sweep with new weather stripping. The Trento weatherstripping under the door was cut short and is non-standard as were the holes for their door sweep. Had to drill new holes and the steel did not make it easy. Weather stripping was missing around one of the windows.in the door. Couldn't get replacement from Trento. Couldn't get assistance from Trento. Lots of work, but since I saved some dollars I haven't lost sleep due to the aggravation and time involved in trying to get them to be working doors. Still want to find a
way to close the gap under the higher door or get the doors to line up so there is no gap. Trento promised follow up adjustments but won't even talk about it. Hopeless!

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Els1 Buyer beware
These doors from this vendor are not thermally broken. That means they will have significant condensation. Beware of this product. A reputable company like Home Depot should not sell this product.

The door looks beautiful and is well made. My wrought iron is slightly different than the photo and lacks the leaf-looking parts, which was a bit of a disappointment. Otherwise, very happy with the investment.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Jeff Great doors and excellent service
The doors arrived packed with great care. The doors are beautiful with fine craftsmanship. We had one mix-up on the glass color and Jim the company representative came and switched them out for us at no charge. The company was great to work with, builds a fantastic door at an excellent price and has outstanding customer service. Every Home Depot should be carrying this brand door.

The problems we have are taking a long time to complete.
We are getting water inside from the door because the welds are not done correctly.
