How do you install and modify this product to accomodate specific lengths?

Trex 90-1/2 in. x 4 in. x 72 in. Saddle Ready to Assemble Fence Section
Asked by: Anonymous
All of the materials cut just lumber. Use a regular wood blade to cut the top rail, bottom rail covers, aluminum bottom rail, and pickets to whatever lengths and heights needed. Measure between posts to know the exact length to cut your rails but make sure not to set your posts farther than 96" post centers. The pickets can be cut to any height to get a 5ft, 4ft, or 3ft fence. The brackets that are mounted to the posts will need to be adjusted for the desired height. Watch the video attached to know how to install a Trex Seclusions fence section.

Shipping Dimensions

Could you please inform me what the shipping dimensions of the box that would contain one 6 FT. X 8 FT. panel is?
Asked by: solo
The Trex Seclusions fence panel kits are not boxed but the individual components are stacked on a pallet. The pallet dimensions if the fence panel kits are only ordered are 8ft x 4ft and usually stacked less than 4ft high. If Trex fence posts are getting ordered with the fence panel kits, then the pallet dimensions are 9ft x 4ft and usually stacked less than 4ft high. You'll find an image attached to see how the product is stacked on a pallet for a project that is about 80 linear feet. Sometimes for larger projects, multiple pallets are shipped.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just what my wife and I were looking for We had trex fencing installed at our house about 4 years ago. My wife and I cannot stand vinyl and did not want the maintenance of wood. Our fence was recently hit by a car and we needed to purchase some replacement parts. Home depot was the only company that we could by the few parts that we needed. It was easy to fix and install. Our only question that we had was that the new pieces we got were really rich in color. I called the trex company and they told me that it would " weather " ( their words not mine) to a uniform color. Its been about 4 weeks and don't notice the color difference as much. Its starting to blend in with the rest of our fence.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Trex Seclusions fencing -Saddle color I installed this product about 3 years ago now and we love the look of it. I found it very easy to install and work with. I actually customized my install quite easy with a little planning prior to placing my order with Home Depot. I found their installation instructions on their website I used longer posts and created a trellis above the fence using Trex 2x6 composite wood in the same saddle color. I also created step down sections qutie easy as well. Check out my pictures. The color seems to fade a little, but not bad it still looks great!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Trex Fencing is Wonderful! I'm glad to know that Home Depot is offering Trex fencing. My husband installed our beautiful fence last year and it looks great! My husband was able to install the fence with his brother. I love the wood resemblance of the fence even after a year it has been installed. No more staining which is great and my neighbors next to me love how the fence looks the same on both sides. I would recommend this fence to those that want a maintenance free fence.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent quality fence, have to see it to believe it. First of all lets start when i picked up this fence from Home Depot. I purchased 30 panels, 32 posts, and two gates. I figured i'd save some money and have the fence shipped to a local store and pick it up myself. I should have paid the shipping to have it delivered to my house. this stuff is heavy! It took five trips with a 1/2 ton pickup maxed out with payload. A buddy and I were whipped by the time we were done. We both were extremely impressed with the heft and quality of the fence. I also purchased three 80 lb bags of concrete for each post which was hauled in two separate loads. I have about 1/3 of 240 feet of this fence installed so far. Installing the posts takes the longest. Each post has been using 3 bags of concrete. Once the posts are set, the panels go up rather quickly as you get the hang of it. After I got the first two panels up and had the measurements down, the other panels have gone up smoothly. This is also the first fence i've ever installed by myself. I've followed the directions and watched some Youtube videos on stringing your property line and fence line. The fence looks great and all of my neighbors have even been impressed with the look and quality of the fence.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love, love, love this fence First of all I highly recommend spending the extra $59 delivery fee! It was worth every penny!! The guys from Home Depot were very professional and extremely helpful in placing the items in our shed/barn safe from the weather. My husband, my three teenagers, and I assembled this fence. Once we put up the first 3 panels, we became quite proficient (10 minutes per post and 5 min per panel). We ordered 41 panels and 42 posts. We did have a neighbor who had a bobcat with an auger to dig the holes so that was awesome. We downloaded the instructions from the HD website before the order was delivered. That was recommended by HD on the website. It really helped to move things along once the fence arrived. We love the fence so much we have ordered 2 more posts and one more panel to extend the privacy for our yard. We have woods behind us so we will complete the enclosure with chain link fencing. The only issue we have is the fact that we had to cut every bottom rail and every top rail to match the 8 ft distance of the holes we dug. I suppose if we had laid out the fencing on the ground before we dug the holes we wouldn't have had to do that. Otherwise, we couldn't be more pleased with the results. I also want to add that the sales persons at Home Depot were so very helpful and patient with us as we went through the process of this very large purchase.
