Delays in renovation schedule had me desperate to protect the refinished hardwood floors, but I shouldn't have worried! this builder's paper was easy to put down, masking tape to each next strip and entirely cover the floor to protect from the last renovations including installation of countertops, appliance deliveries and four roommates moving in all their furniture and "stuff." Not a scratch on the floor! It is also nice and thick so I will be using builders paper for mailing packages from now on too!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Jd WOW I WAS SURPRISED
When I purchased this $10 roll of brown paper,I was buying it for shipping my eBay items. I was used to buying paper like this from a dollar store where the diameter was no larger than the size of wrapping paper for a gift. The man at Home Depot brought out my item and it had to be at least 4 inches in diameter probably totaling more than 40 of what I was used to buying for a $1. From that moment on I knew where I would make my future purchases if this paper!

This was a must have for me since I had put down floors before painting. Very easy to put down with two people.

This paper is sold by the packing tape, which is why I noticed it. I would prefer a huge roll of newsprint (you can buy online at home depot and have it shipped to the store), but this serves a different purpose. I tear off a big sheet and crumple it up to use for packing. It's particularly useful at the bottom of a box. It is very thick, so it takes less paper to provide cushioning. I usually use it at the top and bottom of boxes for padding, but you can also wrap larger objects in it, fold the edges in as you wrap, and it cushions it pretty well. You would have to use a lot of sheets of the true 'packing paper' to accomplish the same thing. I feel this is cheaper than bubble wrap but serves a different purpose. I actually have all 3 on hand to pack: packing paper, this roll of builder paper, and bubble wrap.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Con Amazing practicality, thickness, quantity, portability
I use this huge roll in my shop when I'm painting, sanding, staining, nailing, etc. It's the perfect portable "drop cloth" when I want to work on my kitchen table as well or have a group project to work on with friends. You can't find a larger, wider, longer roll anywhere, and the thickness is perfect for projects. Then when I'm done - EASY clean UP!!
