Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by XRayEyes Easy Directions, Works Great
After three months of this thing just sitting in a box, waiting to replace the old one, I finally built up the energy and nerve to install this thing, and although it was an up-and-down my ladddeer sweat-fest, I finally got it done.
So now it looks great and works great and I couldn't be happier.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by RAGus Excellent light fixture
The light kit was easy to install but the fixture did not accept standard R30 spotlight bulbs. The LED bulbs did not fit but CFL's did as they had a longer base.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Mikie Warning: Will NOT Easily Mate with Hunter Fans!
I bought an Indoor/Outdoor Hunter ceiling fan from Lowe's after telling the electronics dept. salesman I planned on getting a light kit for it. Looked for a light kit while there and couldn't find what I wanted. Ordered this light kit that completely enclosed the light bulb so ambient light on the enclosed deck wouldn't be a problem. Plus it was rated for indoor/outdoor use! Spent a couple hours installing the fan only to find IT WAS NOT DESIGNED TO ACCEPT ANY LIGHT KIT! Returned it and got another after telling the assistant store manager my problem with the fan. He had never seen a fan that wouldn't accept a light kit. Of course, Hunter never bothered labeling the box as such. I sent them an email complaining of this and saying I wasted a couple hours installing that fan because of a lack of proper labeling. Never heard back from them. Companies simply don't care for pragmatic practices like correct box labeling anymore.
I had to drill two holes very carefully (to avoid hitting wires) in the top of this light kit so it would attach to the Hunter fan. Then I found two small bolts, matching washers, and nuts to mate the two together. The colors matched almost perfectly. I bought 4 LED SPOT bulbs (at $19 ea.!) and 2 reptile infrared 100 Watt spot bulbs from PetCo designed for pet reptile heating ($15 ea.!) and installed two of the LEDs and the 2 infrared bulbs. (Note: remove the black plastic bands from the light cans before screwing in those LED bulbs!)
I'm looking out at those infrared lights glowing now as my wife and 90 yr. old mother sit out there enjoying the late Sept. morning on Brices Creek. The bulbs provide a subtle heat. Don't expect much from 4 feet away from them! But they do work, as does the light kit at directing light almost exactly where I want it on our patio dining table area.
