Yes but you have to use incandescent and not the CFL's that they include. I do not know but perhaps dimmable CFL's or the Newer Dimmable LED's may work. Usually you need a different dimmer for CFL's and LED's but the newer LED's at least will sometimes work with a standard dimmer.
In summary, in the lamp is a standard dimmer that is controlled by the remote control so incadescents are the only ones Read More

Titan 72 in. Indoor/Outdoor Oil-Rubbed Bronze Ceiling Fan and Light is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 15.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great fan! So far, so good. We love the look of a modern, aluminum fan to fit our transitional-eclectic style living room. Installation was fairly simple. More importantly, the fan turns a great amount of air at 14 feet, at least for us, when speed is at IV and above. The fan was stable off the bat, and it has been very quiet. The light isn't bad for a ceiling fan, but don't rely on it to light a decent sized room by itself.

First, this is a DC Motor which takes only a fraction of the energy of an AC Motor. BUT, this will not change speed by controlling the voltage. You have to give it line voltage and then just use the remote control to change the speeds. I would rather have a built-in wall control but that is too bad with the current state of DC Motors. (pun intended) Eventually they should be able to send a signal along the AC line to change the speed but not yet. This product is great. All of the hardware is Stainless Steel! Great for outdoors. The body itself is painted steel and the blades are aluminum. I did not know beforehand that the light is fed off of the main hot line. So, there is no ability to double wire it. I installed a 12/3 line with a black and a red. Even if you use the light you can only use 12/2 or 14/2 for BOTH the fan and the light. So a 12/3 or 14/3 is not needed. I think that I will buy another remote and put it in a drawer so if this remote gets lost and it is no longer manufactured then I will have one. I have used the same Hunter Original Fan for 20 years so this may last until 2036 if I should live so long. I think that odds are that you will not regret this purchase if you make it. Also, I ordered it online and it came in 2 days with free shipping. It comes in two boxes. One for the motor and down rod and one for the blades. I think that is how they ship the different length blades easily.

I installed the fan today and it went up without any problems and it looks and works great. This fan comes in two boxes, one for the motor housing and one for the blades. I've installed it in my covered backyard patio to replace a 48" fan which did not move the air at all. So far, this Titan fan does seem to move air so I can feel it. It's a little hard to tell just how good it will be today because it is a windy day but it is definitely better than the fan I replaced. This fan operates with a remote control which has to be synched with the fan but that was very easy and took just a few minutes.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great large scale fan This fan has a great look. I purchased it because of the oil-rubbed bronze finish, the aluminum blades, and the size for use on an outdoor patio. The remote control works great, and allowed me to install the fan without having to run another wall switch. It has 6 speed settings, and although it doesn't look like the blades are spinning very fast, you can feel the air movement immediately, thanks to the curvature of the blades. At first I was worried about spending $400-$500 on a fan, but after seeing and using it in person, I would definitely recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Titan Fan The fan looks impressive and puts out quite an airflow. It was very easy to install and balanced out perfectly with the initial installation. It is a bit expensive, but if it lasts for 15 years it will be a great investment. Several people have come to the house and commented on how great it looks. You can't go wrong with this purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for what we needed The person who put it up wants one for his place and my dad is taking down his previous fan (only a year old) and just ordered one like ours to put up. And, at over 11,000 CFM, it moves air on our outdoor porch.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great fan Very pleased with this fan. It is heavy duty and large enough to move the air in my shop. Love that it is easy to install and doesn't require any special wiring. Everything is controlled by the remote.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good fan and expensive More than I wanted to pay but that is the only con with this fan. Very quiet and moves air in my screened pole barn.
