Been using for 2 years and got first bad can. Purchased at Home depot. Filled up weed eater and it ran for about 2 minutes and stopped. Noticed that fuel tank had a layer of fuel on top of a layer of water. Drained tank and cleaned carb. Refilled with marine gas(no ethenol) and oil mixed. The weed eater worked fine. Don't have faith in product now. Called Calumet Packaging (manufacturer of truefuel) and left message but no return call. Also drained the tank on my leaf blower as a precaution.

So I would say its a little pricey, but worth it for the convenience of not having to go 10 miles out of my way to get Ethanol Free fuel, mix in 2 Stoke oil, measure the proper ratio's, then add a stabilizing additive. By the time you look at all of that? This is worth it to purchase. I will also say that my new Echo Equipment starts and runs perfect every time and has only ever run Trufuel.

This stuff is amazing. I bought 1 can at home depot to try in my small 2 cycle engines. As for the past 15-20 years of mixing my own gas and oil, this stuff has a shelf life of 5 years (2 after opening). I was amazed to see the difference in my equipment performance (Stihl String Trimmer-Stihl Hedge Trimmers- Stihl blower and a poulan pro chain saw) The fuel does not go bad after a few weeks of sitting in the shed, as per my mixed gas and oil. To me I always bought one gallon of 93 octane gas at the local gas station and mixed one of the little bottles of oil with it. I always had difficulty starting all my 2 cycle engines and keeping them running. With this stuff, I have no problems, and every piece of equipment starts with minimal effort, and stay running. I use these tools for my own yard as for I do not have a business in landscaping. I just wish the price was a little lower. As of now I buy the 6 pack box, and sometime I get them at a discount from home depot.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Hose A Must-Have For Small 2-Cycle Engines
Years ago I used to run my machines dry for the winter. I started using fuel stabilizer and no longer have to do that. All of my machines start right up in the new season even though they've had gas in the tank for months. In the case of my snow blower, one season gas was in the tank >1 year and still no problem.
Same is true with my gas trimmer. If I use TrueFuel I don't need to drain its tank, as TF has fuel stabilizer in the formulation. (If you don't drain your trimmer, good idea to store it "horizontally" rather than hanging it on the wall.)
True Fuel is a bit pricey but works well, is convenient, has long shelf life. All 2-cycle engines should be running TrueFuel or its equivalent. RECOMMENDED!

I was always under the assumption that you had to mix the ratio perfectly, which I could never get just right. This stuff is low cost, great on the engine, stable, and great for storage. If I could I would buy as much as I could.

awesome stuff, my equipment performs great on it, exhaust has a unique smell, and very clean, no smoke, starts on first pull and does not run the engines to hot. at 92 octane, means less carbon deposits, plus full synthetic oil, and fuel stabilizer...spendy, but beats carb teardown and rebuild!

I purchased a Stihl Farmboss chainsaw and used TruFuel. The place I purchased it recommended I use the ethanol free premix. At about $40 per gallon it is a bit pricy but worth it when you spend 700 bucks on a saw and use it as much as I do. Its worth the investment. Most people have good experiences with TruFuel but a can I purchased glazed my carburetor. Took it in to have it rebuilt but they said it was going to need to be replaced and was not covered under warranty. Raised some Heck (Censored by HD) and Stihl replaced it for free but told me to not use TruFuel because they seem to have quality control issues on occasion.
