While this product is relatively inexpensive, you must be careful about getting it wet.....properly caulking and re-caulking when caulking cracks at all edges, setting the nails, caulking over the nails, directing roof water runoff away from the siding and painting the siding and keeping it painted There are alternatives out of cement related materials that will take less maintenance.
This is guaranteed 30 years, pro-rated. Only for the product, not for installation. I used it on a building I built in 1990. A 30 year life is reasonable if you pay attention and keep it dry, caulked and painted. I have replaced many areas that eventually were exposed to water, due to caulking cracks, nails moving and roofing systems not directing all water away from the siding.
I would not recommend this at all in a wet climate.
Good for structures that are temporary or short term when properly protected.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by DocAudio Solid and looks nice from one side.
I bent the rules a bit and used this vertically for some fencing. I wanted something quick to build, very solid (we get winds), insect resistant, and reasonably priced. It only needed to look good from one side. I surrounded 6' tall segments with PT2x4's slotted with a 1/2" dado. The back side is just raw particle board and must be primed if exposed.
Overall, it painted up nicely, and hopefully lasts for years.
Next, I'd like to try it for replacing a spa skirt.
Be careful handling... the edges can chip easily.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by shedman816 Very easy to work with and it looks great on the shed wall.
The product is light weight enough for one person to handle , It was very easy to cut and install. And most importantly it looks great.
