30 in. Snow Shovel with Wood Handle is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 22.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Wide Shovel I live in Central NJ. Used once for 2" in driveway. The wide handle is a good improvement over the usual "D" handle. This is a "push" shovel. Too heavy to lift if you are dealing with wet snow. Let it sit at room temp before installing handle into shovel. I added a screw where the handle goes into the shovel socket for extra strength. It works fine & is a good tool for clearing a driveway. Push from the middle to the sides & then use a smaller shovel to lift the snow. There is no metal edge on the bottom. Some say it's good, some say it's bad. By the time this wears out I will have gotten my $$ worth. Worth it for the $.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from No metal scrape bar The wood handle is very sturdy and has a great click to mount device to place shovel on the handle. The handle end takes some getting used to but seems to make sense ergonomically, also sturdy. The shovel itself is a disappointment and that is the problem. The plastic used seem good and sturdy but there is no metal scraper bar on the edge. So when you push it, which this style is intended the plastic edge wears on the blacktop driveway and it seems to wear noticeably after just one snow storm. My particular shovel was not perfectly straight, the edge was a little wavy bit that means that you end up with a driveway that looks like a zebra with black and white stripes!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor quality but does serve its purpose The plastic is warped on top and bottom. The top warp is only a visual annoyance but the bottom warp prevents it from providing an even scrape all the way across. I bought this shovel to save time clearing my driveway when we only receive 1-3" of snow. That's about all this shovel is good for. I chose this shovel because it was the largest I could find. It does what I bought it to do but the quality is really poor. I'm not expecting this shovel to stand the test of time. The handle is nice and the wood is solid. The plow is cheap. I would have paid more for a better blade.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from BIG AND POWERFUL I have a snow plowing business and a huge driveway at home. This shovel is impressive. It is for light, fluffy snow and you must have some strength to work with it. It is heavy because of the large blade and thick wooden handle. If it had a metal ergonomic handle, I would have given it 5 stars. The best for 1 - 2" of light snow!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This shovel is light, sturdy and does a great job I have over 2500 square feet to shovel or snow blow depending upon the amount. I actually enjoy shoveling with this shovel. My surface is paving stone and this pusher does not damage the surface as a steel shovel would.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good product, easy to assemble. 30" is perfect for pushing the snow. It did not say assembly required, but it was extremely easy, just push the shovel head onto the shaft, and that is the same way the pre-assembled store bought items are assembled.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great big wide snow shovel Personally I love this 30" snow shovel. It cuts the time in 1/2. It's exactly what I wanted and was looking for. The expanded handle makes two handed "pushing" a breeze. I gave a 3 out of 5 for quality for the following reason. it feels slightly flimsy in the area where you assemble the wood handle into the top of the shovel. a better tought out connection should be found. I put an additional 2 screws in through the plastic and into the wood to give added strength and it works perfectly. NOTE- make sure to predrill the holes, otherwise you'll crack this type of plastic. But all-in-all I am very pleased with this purchase.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Big but kind of flimsy This shovel seems to be a bit on the flimsy side. Doesn't have the thicker plastic on the back of the shovel that gives it strength like I have seen on other shovels. In fairness, the shovel is a giant 30 inch shovel and is a pusher style of shovel so by the time you have enough inches of snow where the shovel starts to buckle under the weight , it's time to switch to a smaller pusher or thrower kind of shovel anyway. So, although it is a bit thin and flimsy it should serve it's purpose for what it is designed for.
