How much weight will it hold

Asked by: Jay
Providing you can keep the garbage tire it comes with aired up, it will handle a couple hundred pounds. I would be careful how you load and unload it because if done imprudently, the frame itself will twist. In my opinion, you would be better off to spend the extra $40 and buy the bigger one with the solid tire. It will serve you better if you want to handle heavier loads on a regular basis.

Can I purchase just the wheelbarrow bucket?

The bucket rusted out, wheels and handles are in good shape.
Asked by: canyongrma
Your local store may be able to special order a replacement tray from the manufacturer. Suggest that you contact the store to see what they can do.

I ordered this product Unassembled... when I picked it up my local HD gave me one already assembled, nice of them. However, whoever assembled did it without tools as every nut and bolt combination was loose and the tire only had a few pounds of air. After tightening all nuts, I noticed there are no lock washers in use. And finally. the materials used make this look like a wheel barrow, but it does not function like one. The metal bucket is thin gauge, the wood handles are small, and the foot brace and brackets are also thin gauge. You cannot put a full load in this barrow and expect to move it. This barrow will not even stay put on slightly uneven ground. I will return this item!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from cheap construction I had 30 bags of concrete to mix so I bought this pre-assembled wheelbarrow that appeared to be well built but when I started adding the water and 1 bag of concrete I noticed the back legs were wobbling but all the bolts were tight. A few times it wobbled so much it tipped over and it was on flat ground. I think if I add some reinforcements it should be fine. The sad part is that I replaced the exact same wheelbarrow that I had for 15 years and its legs are heavy duty compared with the new one that has legs that uses a thinner gauge metal.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from 50lb weight limit in my opinion DO not buy if you are going to use it more than a couple times to move very light material. Legs are weak, handles are weak, supports that hold hands to tub are weak. In addition the metal bracket in front of the tire twists and acts as a brake often and you have to bang it back into place. It lasted 1 month for me before returning due to holes right through the thin gauge tub. I buy many things at home depot and never return anything. They probably didn't have to take it back because I used it. They have great customer service. Paid some extra money and got something decent. I wish I did that in the first place.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from WASTE OF MONEY, horribly designed! Spend a bit more and get something that works. There are so ... WASTE OF MONEY, horribly designed! Spend a bit more and get something that works. There are so many things wrong, here's a partial list: - front end is too low, unless you're short it's easy to drive the front into the ground trying to use it, esp. on rough ground. - no lock-nuts, the knurled nuts rattle loose. If you have to use this, put some threadlock on all the bolts. - the wooden handles are too thin, after a couple years of sun they're splitting. There are ok products with wooden handles, but those are much sturdier than these. - the legs aren't cross-braced, there's only the thin spreader on the back. so if you put a decent load in it, it wobbles and eventually the bolts thru the tub tear out the sheet-metal. Happened to two at a site I manage, it's not worth repairing. - sheet metal is thin, other wheelbarrows are heavier gauge. As other reviewers mention, if you have a load in it, it's wobbling all over the place, top heavy, hard to even maneuver.

The wheelbarrow is large enough but as soon as you fill it with can't move or steer it. It leans and seems like it will break under the weight of the dirt. We are not 100% sure this is the item for what we need but, we bought and we have it. We will try and make it work somehow, not 100% satisfied.

Otherwise extremely cheap. Fill it half full with dirt and you can feel it buckle with the weight. Also the metal protective piece in front of the wheel is so cheaply made that it bends and moves anytime you dump a load of dirt.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Hearvy Service required bolts and bracing Recommend bracing I did to wheel brackets and I added fender washers and braces between the wheel bolts and the tray extended to the rim on each side. Plus: Good strong handles need a coat of paint if stored outside; Full size tray is deep and without bracing you need to add if you plan to mix concrete or heavy gravel loads. Minus: I spent $5 on "fender" washers (for front two inside tray) and four longer wheel bolts with nuts and lock washers, used the four existing bolts 90 degrees through (with fender washers extending support from extended length of bolts used) to brace wheel brackets on each side supporting against collapse or bending under load) by the longer bolts, got two wooden (5 gal stir paddles) braces for free in paint aisle for each side from rear wheel bolt to curl edge of tray that stiffened immensely (used 1/4" screws, two metal 90 deg brackets and the wide fender washers for those too). Great load capability now and store-able outside with another $5 for a can of spray paint on handles and inside tray. Without the above mods, other users were dissatisfied after they overloaded this medium duty barrow.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not what it used to be Every time I use this wheelbarrow I feel like the handles are going to snap. We do a lot of gardening, hauling of material, pond and yard work, it's not the wheelbarrow for that. It cannot handle heavy loads, the steel bin is thin and bends, the brace between the bin and handles is plastic and does not help balance the load. We are so unhappy with it and will be looking into returning it for something better. We had a Dual-wheel, True Temper, wheelbarrow years ago and sold it when we moved and couldn't take it with us thinking we would be able to buy a new one just like it. Sadly that is not the case.
