Tub Drain Linkage Assembly is rated 3.3 out of 5 by 12.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does what it's supposed to do!! This is an area I have never ventured before, and was a lil intimidated by. I kept thinking I'd drop the cylinder down the drain and have to call Roto-Rooter!! This product has very clear instructions; even a Total Novice can install one of these! Whether you are keeping your current overflow cover, or installing a new one, it won't take you but 2-3 minutes (5 TOPS) to do!! If you aren't very adept in the DIY area, just do the disassembly and reassembly over the counter, so as to NOT drop the cotter pin, or adjustable nut down the drain. Even if you do, those items can be replaced quickly and for just Pennies! Lol. Excellent Value!!

I bought this to go with a new overflow plate that had broken thinking to replace the whole assembly. However, after adjusting the length of the new piece to match the length of the existing linkage I couldn't get the tub drain to seal. I wound up reusing the old linkage with the new overflow plate. There was a small size difference in the old and new plugs that probably accounted for my sealing problem. The part was billed as a universal solution.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice & Easy I went in to Home Depot with only an explanation that few could understand. The man who helped me was very understanding. When I got home to install this new drain stopper thing (haha) I found it incredibly simply with easy to read instructions.
