Customer Reviews

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 23 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best drain sump ever put in. Had a severe water problem with 6" or more of water flooding to the back and side of my house. Put in a french drain with drain pipe purchased from Home Depot, but it wasn't enough to catch the initial flood of water. Looked at a 12" and 14" sump, but the best bargain for the money was this 16" drain sump with grate and seals. The seals worked easily and my drain pipe locked right into the sump with no issues. The removable grate was a bonus because it allows me to clean out any sand and debris the washes into the bottom. Great product!!! June 17, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Adapted this product to work with an underground drain My sump pump drain exits into a bed of stone about 4' underground. I needed something to prevent water exiting the pipe from washing dirt into the stone bed and clogging it (as had happened in the past). I filled the bottom of this item with pea gravel, and then inserted the drain pipe in through the orange seal. Then I added more pea gravel, and then some larger stone, and then installed the cover. Now here's the hard part -- I flipped this product (and the 3 bags of stone inside it) so that the grate was on the bottom. That allowed the water to drain out while preventing dirt from coming in. This is a well-designed and well-constructed product. It worked very well for my application, and I'm sure it would work even better for its intended application. August 7, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Drain grate This is a very sturdy unit and easy to install. If I needed a sump pump it would be easy to install that. November 5, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best around for the price and size I added four of these to our yard and they look and work great. The easy markings to cut the seals for four inch pipe made the install easy. I like the extra room on the bottom so I can add a backup emergency pump in case we get a flood. I looked around for similar drains and noone had the 16 inch for 45bucks. All the box stores had only 12 inch drains for 50 and then you had to also buy the cover. Im very happy with the durability of these. Only issue for me was. I forgot to add weep holes so the drain popped up with a hard rain as the water went around and under. Easy fix, added playsand around the drain, drilled the weep holes and now they all work great. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by why would this be discontinued? I purchased two last year, I installed both with automatic sump pumps and they work great! The hardest part of the job was digging the holes to install the basins. Now I am ready to expand to my back yard and guess whAT, NO LONGER AVAILABLE. This is really disappointing. June 17, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by ok for now Just got this layed in the ground and covered up. We have natural springs on the property and will have to wait for next winter to see if it works. We needed 120ft of pipe but had to purchase 200ft. Also, the sump boxes were delivery free, but the pipes would have cost as much to deliver as the purchase of the pipes. June 1, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Exactly what I needed! The sump basin was easy to adapt to my specific use. May 12, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good product, but needs mods to work well Product has quality construction, but the top fits way too tight to be able to remove it for cleaning later. I had to shave a bit off each side on my table saw and sand the corners down. Still a tight fit but now I can get it out. I also put a bit of loose gravel underneath and drilled a small (1/8") weep hole so the water will eventually drain out, rather than have 6 - 8" of standing water in the bottom. For the 4" drain tile to fit, I had to cut a few small slits around the inside edge of the orange hole plug/seal. There were also no instructions with the product. September 26, 2013
