Customer Reviews

36 in. 22 HP Subaru Commercial Duty Dual-Hydro Walk-Behind Finish Cut Turf Mower with Floating Deck is rated 1.8 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor Build Quality and Customer Service (Manufacture Only GXI Power Outdoor) The mower was shipped with the Hydro Bracket being drilled and mounted wrong. The quality of the build was very poor. This product is not worth the money. Almost every review I have found had similar issues with build quality. As you can in the pictures, the bracket was drilled into the steel and mounted at an angle which caused rubbing and sticking of the controls.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from great customer service, but poor product design This mower has a great Subaru engine, unfortunately that's where it stops. The tires don't have a lot of traction on hills and the engine to blade system fails even after adjusting the tension. The belt slipped off several times, especially on lower cut settings. The manufacturer should really think of improving the belt system. The sulky is OK but it's positioned a little too far behind the mower, the front tends to lift, unless you put some weight on the deck. Needless to say, I returned this product after 6 hours of use. I am not saying that I did not get a lemon but that is what I had to deal with.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Hard to Handle Aptly named, "the beast"...controls seem to be backwards, making it hard to handle & hard to get use to. Main drive belt slipped off on 3rd use, very difficult to put back on. Doesn't cut cleanly, leaves considerable uncut debris behind. In tall weeds, it is necessary to make a short cut, backup, & take a run at the weeds, bogs down, & have to backup again. Really hard to handle. Feel really beat up after an hour of cutting. Did come fully assembled, with batt. & oil. All I had to do was add gas & go.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Walk Behind Mower Lemon Home Depot Customer Review Turf Beast -36 inch 22 HP Commercial Duty Hydraulic Finish Cut Mower – “ A Lemon in our Opinion” The mower is one of the poorest qualities of workmanship equipment that I have ever purchased. We experienced issue three months from date of purchase. Warranty department was not helpful and did not support the own warranty. We paid almost $300. for a part that should have been provided to us at no cost. They left us to make the necessary repairs needed. No one in our area services the product and an authorized rep was never sent to review the mower. A determination was made by a picture we sent to the company at their request. Now one year and half year later this mower is falling apart and will require a minimum of $500 plus to repair. The company representative had assured us we are being given a reduced price for the part even though we paid half that price a year earlier. The belt on the mower slips off easily and does not necessary go back on easily. We have had to weld the decking several times which we feel indicates an inferior product. I would highly recommend researching this product further if you are contemplating purchasing this particular piece of equipment. Obviously I would not purchase the Tiger Beast product and Home Depot should reconsider carrying any product from a company that does not honor their warranties and stand by their product.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Mower review Bought this mower in December 2014. Didn't get it until February/March. After 6 hours of use, the hydro drives went out, which put the mower out of commission. The cause was a spring that broke. The Engine was awesome. But due to not being able to get parts in a timely manor or them being on backorder, I sold the mower to a pawnshop.
