Rated 3.5 out of 5 by 2 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Splice I was a little skeptical about the price but since I am a klutz at most of the projects I do I bought it. It was easy to instal and it works great. Once I had the wires stripped it took me about 5 minutes to instal. June 6, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not thoroughly happy I bought this as the company we hired to install our irrigation took it upon themselves to cut the buried power wire going to our shed--- I was furious as I have a "thing" about splicing wires, especially buried cables. With that, they were going to use gel filled wire nuts--- I know better and emphatically said no, with that I drove to Home Depot to get this so that it could be repaired right. The problem was that once it was done it is so big that the 12ga 3-conductor grey Romex cable was lost in it and it did not seal which when we had a big rainstorm, our ground fault did its job and tripped. With that I had to dig it up and I did find moisture in it. After going over their install, they did it correctly as it was clamped down as far as it could go. What I did was buy the ten dollar shrink tube version and then I added two pieces of lined shrink tube over the ends of it to make sure moisture cannot get in as it is a buried cable. With that, it has worked perfectly fine since. If the cable I was splicing was at least 5/8"-1" in diameter---- it would have most likely worked fine. I was simply disappointed that it did not seal the first time properly and that I had to dig it up and redo it. September 18, 2013
