The prep & use of this seemed way easier than the other epoxy floor coverings . I used it in my basement so I don't have a lot of heavy objects or car tires that may scuff & chip off the epoxy . Only reason I gave it 4 outa 5 was cause the coverage was less than the can suggested . Overall pretty good tho .

Used on garage floor. Followed directions. Takes a lot of prep of the garage floor that was previously painted. Remained tacky even after second coat and pulled up under tires of just a middle-weight motorcycle. Researched for something else to try to fix this. Purchased a urethane sealer product and did two coats over the Drylok paint. No longer tacky and seems to be holding up to car tires.

After reading about different brands of paint to use on the concrete floor of my basement I decided that Drylok had the best reviews and satisfied users. I have used the UGL paint to seal walls and it works very well, so I was pretty confident that this floor paint would be as good. It goes on smoothly and dries quick. I am surprised that the stores do not carry this, but I ordered it through Home Depot online and the shipping was free. I would recommend this floor paint. I cannot attest to its long term durability or how it will last if outside and exposed to weather or if it is really good as a garage floor paint, but as a concrete basement paint it seems great. I used a combination of brush and roller, the brush to do the edges against the wall. I could see no difference in either method and so the two types of application blended fine. I purchased two gallons so I could put on two coats. I basically cleaned the old floor, even mopped it, but there was still old paint and some stains; the house was built in 1953 and no way of knowing when the previous paint was applied or what type of paint it was, but the Drylok seems to have had no trouble adhering to the floor.

I gave it 4 stars because the coverage wasn't as much as predicted. But seems to work as advertised . Goes on nice & easy !

The coverage was complete, and the color a soothing gray. Due to the now spotless floors, the basement and garage look much cleaner and newer.

This paint goes on smoothly, dries quickly and covers well. Drylock gave my pitted, fifty-year-old concrete steps a beautiful, new lease on life. It remains to be seen how well the finish will hold up to a Midwest winter or two, but for the clean summer look I now have, I'll happily re-paint with this product if and when necessary.

Painted my unfinished concrete basement floor with this product, based on a good deal of research. HD delivered the product quickly and at an excellent price. After etching, prepping and allowing sufficient dry time, the first coat went on very well. I thinned the initial "tack" coat with 1 pint of water per gallon according the directions and it seemed to help the product go on very smoothly. After waiting the recommended 4 hours, I applied a full strength second coat in 10x10 sections, while throwing metallic epoxy chips (behr black and silver mix off the HD shelf). I must say that it looks great. I did have to put a ladder in one spot of my basement to address an unrelated issue in my basement ceiling the following morning which resulted in some pickup under the ladder feet. I do think that is because the paint had not completely hardened yet, but time will tell as to durability. That being said, I think for a basement (when compared to a true 2-part epoxy), this is a great option. I think it is also a much better option that what HD stocks in the stores, as others I know have tried those and not had great luck. This is low odor, quick drying, water clean up, and reasonably priced. Only drawback is you do have to order it online around me.
