What product can be used on damp surface to waterproof masonry.

Asked by: dee
The best product would be the oil or the powder DRLYLOK. Other products you will have to wait for the surface to dry as the product will not cure properly if applied to a damp surface.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Superior Product Cannot not understand why this item is not the regularly stocked item. This item has a 15 year warranty, goes on easy and cleans up easy. The other version of Drylok stocked in Home Depot stores only has the 10 year warranty. This product is worth the wait to order and not much difference between the price two types of the Drylok. This product is also rated for 15 PSI or rated 30 feet under water!!! Cannot go wrong in using this as free tinting is provided when picked up and shipping to store was free.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dry look Extreme The concrete paint laid down well and looks great. Put on two coats --- one brushed on and a second with a small roller. Don't know why this product is not carried in the Home Depot stores.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from DOES NOT WORK>>>>DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!! I spent $400 a few years ago on this product and 20 hours of my time. I have a block foundation and I prepped the surface with the etching solution and wire brushed any spots that needed it. I followed the directions!!! I have an entire wall that the Drylock is peeling off. I contacted the Manufacturer and they tell you that it will stop water but not Efflorescence ( they now have this on their website but when I bought the product it was not there!!!). Efflorescence is the white crystal that if left behind when water it will stop the water but once the water dries and the efflorescence appears the paint will peel off and you are out of luck and have wasted you money and time. UGL the maker does not stand by their product, when you contact them they get defensive right away. AGAIN>>>THIS STUFF IS JUNK!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product for cinder block walls. Keeps the moisture out. Will purchase more & have tinted a bluish gray to paint the outside of the house. The Drylock was just what I needed to stop moisture from seeping through the cinder block.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Tenacious stuff This is fairly thick and sticky paint that takes a long time to brush in properly, but makes for a good finish on concrete basement walls. It will pull your arm off during application if you don't rest every so often and/or switch arms.
