Product Overview

URREA striking tools (Hammers and Mallets) are used for direct striking. In conjunction, they are particularly useful in industry (machinery, assembly lines, maintenance) and automotive service (engines, bodywork, tires). Aside from traditional fitter's or ball hammers, some striking tools are specifically designed to avoid distorting, marking, or damaging the parts subject to striking. Hammer heads are manufactured from various materials such as high quality brass, plastic injection, high impact rubber, high strength micro-alloyed steel; hot forged, machined with high precision and heat treated to provide the best combination of hardness and resistance to blows.

  • Wood handle with compact structure providing high impact resistance
  • The head is manufactured from neoprene rubber and is primarily used to prevent damage to volume-type objects
  • The rubber head is very useful for striking parts that are large, but require special care
  • Urrea warrants its product to be free from defects in material and workmanship. Any Urrea product which has not been altered, misused, or abuse, and fails during its normal useful life, will be replaced or repaired at no charge

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Good for light duty I bought this for light duty occasional work and so far it seems okay, but not great. The handle bothers me, being oak which can split along the grain easily (good hammers use hickory handles) but the manufacturer cheaper out. Also it tapers down and gets narrow at the head which makes it less able to withstand hard blows. Also the head looks to be pinned on with only a single fastener. That said, I've used it to knock a few bricks, pavers, tile, and similar brittle materials into place without cracking them, or the handle for that matter. As a lower-end hammer this is great for small and occasional jobs, even a single job, but pros may want a mallet that is built sturdier. July 24, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good Mallet No surprises here, just a good rubber mallet. The head is softer rubber than some of the others I've seen. I haven't broken anything with it yet. The handle is comfortable and it's not too heavy to hold, but heavy enough to get the job done. This is a great item to add to your tool box. July 27, 2012
